Neil Berg will co-chair a committee, along with his friends Frank Wildhorn (Composer), Stephanie J. Block (Broadway Star), and Capathia Jenkins (Broadway Star), for a new type of fundraising event for Covenant House International. It is called Sleep Out: Broadway Edition, and on August 17th, the committee, along with many others in the NY Theater Community, will be spending an entire night sleeping on the streets of NYC to raise money and awareness for Covenant House's mission. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have also joined the project as honorary chairs.
Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has found its LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE. Nine-year old HANNAH ROSE NORDBERG will play Olive Hoover, who aspires to the coveted title of 'Little Miss Sunshine,' in this new musical comedy from Tony Award winners JAMES LAPINE (book/direction) and WILLIAM FINN (music and lyrics).

Renowned musical theatre composer and lyricist Scott Alan hosts a reading of HOME, written by Christy Hall and himself, today June 27, 2013 under the direction of Stafford Arima. 'For the first time in ten years of doing readings and workshops of HOME,' Alan writes, 'I am presenting the story I always set out to tell.'

Goodspeed Musicals has announced the cast of LMNOP, an edgy new musical about an island whose citizens begin to lose their freedoms one letter at a time. The musical will run from July 25 to August 18 at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn. - Goodspeed's home for developing fresh, innovative, and original new musicals.
The National Symphony Orchestra today announced its 2013 line-up of performances at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Eleven performances will take place between June 26 and August 3, 2013. Emil de Cou, in his ninth season as NSO@Wolf Trap Festival Conductor, hosts 10 of the performances and conducts four, including the opening and closing performances in the series.

The event, which will attract recording artists, key entertainment executives and community leaders, will be hosted Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 6 p.m. at 583 Park Avenue. This gala will support the Chapter's ongoing advocacy, education and professional development programs.
