After opening the 2015 Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival to sold-out houses and critical acclaim earlier this year, MARIPOSA NOCTURNA: A Puppet Triptych, conceived and created by Stephanie Diaz, comes to 16th Street Theater, 6420 16th Street in Berwyn, to celebrate Day of the Dead (Dia de los Mertos) for two weeks only October 22 - November 1, 2015.

Strawdog Theatre Company and Artistic Director Hank Boland are proud to announce the second main stage production in its 2015 - 2016 season, Paula Vogel's The Long Christmas Ride Home, October 30 - December 12, directed by Josh Sobel, at Strawdog Theatre Company, 3829 N. Broadway St. Preview performance tickets are $15 with performances Thursday, Nov. 5, Friday, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 at 4 p.m.
Over 14,000 People Attend 2015 Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival

Nearly nine out of every ten seats were filled at last month's inaugural Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival, a major success that attracted a total audience of more than 14,000 to 83 different festival events, sold out more than 80 percent of its shows, and played to 87 percent capacity over the course of its 12-day run, January 14-25.

In 2015 16th Street explores the most intimate of relationships - that between a parent and a child.
