Meg Fofonoff and Stacey Stephens, Producing Artistic Directors of Fiddlehead Theatre Company, today announce the cast and production team for the exclusive Boston premiere of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT: The Musical. Priscilla will run for 10 performances from September 30- October 9, 2016, at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre (265 Tremont Street, Boston). This spectacular production will star Broadway's Larry Daggett (Ragtime) as Bernadette, the dignified "Mother" figure leading a trio of glamorous drag performers on the ride of their lives across the Australian Outback.

Director Chris Morrissey to be Featured Spotlight Filmmaker at RIP Horror Film Festival in November

The annual RIP HORROR FILM FESTIVAL celebrates its fourth successful year in Los Angeles with a special Filmmaker Spotlight featuring L.A. independent film director Chris Morrissey. Two of Morrissey's feature films will screen, alongside several new films and shorts during the four day film festival. The festival will be held at the Vintage LOS FELIZ 3 CINEMAS and run November 10th through November 13th, 2016. In addition to film screenings, the festival will also feature Q&A panel discussions, celebrity guest appearances, filmmaker parties and a signature red carpet award ceremony.

Robert Portal to Lead AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS at St. James Theatre

Casting is announced today for Around the World in 80 Days, which will run at the St. James Theatre from 26 November 2015 to 17 January 2016, with press night on 3 December 2015. Leading the cast in the role of Phileas Fogg will be Robert Portal, who, in challenges reminiscent of Fogg's own quest, has rowed 3000 miles across the Atlantic in The Talisker Whisky Challenge and partaken in the Marathon des Sables, running over 150 miles of the Sahara Desert in six days, raising money for charity in both instances.

Ray Meagher, best known on television for playing Alf Stewart in the long running Australian soap Home and Away, will re join the West End cast of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical as mechanic Bob from 5 October 2011, following his hugely successful run in the show last year. With booking now open at the Palace Theatre until 7 January 2012, Meagher joins Don Gallagher (Bernadette), Richard Grieve (Tick) and Oliver Thornton (Adam) in the internationally award-winning musical at the Palace Theatre.

Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The MusicaL began a pre-Broadway engagement yesterday, Tuesday, October 12, at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada, prior to beginning performances at Broadway's Palace Theatre in New York City on February 28, and opening March 20, 2011.

The New York Post is reporting star Bette Midler loved the show so much that she's invested a 'sizable chunk' of money and will be billed as an above the title producer. The paper also reports that she will be hands-on in rehearsals and note sessions as well for the Broadway-bound musical.
