As part of the eighth edition of the COIL festival, Performance Space 122 (PS122) and The Kitchen present the world premiere of Inflatable Frankenstein from Radiohole. One of New York's most tenacious and beloved ensembles explores the cultural legend of Frankenstein - everyone's metaphor for nearly everything. Source material includes Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, James Whale's classic Frankenstein films, details from Mary Shelley's tragic life, the work of Antonin Artaud and parts of over 100 'Frankenstein' films. Inflatable Frankenstein is blood chilling and completely strange; filled with whimsical creature fantasy, technological absurdity, electric air and bodily fluids.

The Santaland Diaries will open Parade Productions' second season on December 13th, and run through December 23rd at the Studio Theatre at Mizner Park in Boca Raton. The Santaland Diaries hilariously relates David Sedaris' experiences when he reluctantly worked as an elf in Macy's Christmastime Santaland display, and offers an uproarious behind-the-scenes look at how department stores manufacture Christmas spirit.

Performance Space 122 (PS122) and the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, present the New York premiere of Habit, from David Levine, as part of the 2012 Crossing the Line festival. Habit is a durational performance installation that features three actors performing a 90-minute drama on a continuous loop for eight hours a day. Using a commissioned script by playwright Jason Grote, Habit takes place within a four-walled, fully-furnished and functional American ranch house designed by Marsha Ginsberg and built inside a raw, unused space in the Essex Street Market on the Lower East Side.

Margot Harley, co-founder and Producer of The Acting Company has announced the appointment of Ian Belknap to the position of Artistic Director. "We're a Company of young actors - founded forty years ago with the young Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, David Schramm and David Ogden Stiers right out of Juilliard - and it is appropriate that we begin our next 40 years with a vibrant young talent as our artistic leader," said Ms. Harley, who moves from Producing Artistic Director to Producer. John Houseman, Alan Schneider, Jack O'Brien, Michael Kahn, Gerry Gutierrez, Zelda Fichandler, Ms. Harley and now Mr. Belknap complete the list of impressive talents to serve as Artistic Director of The Acting Company founded in 1972 and oft-considered the leading nationally touring repertory theater in the country.

Last Spring, the Painted Bride Art Center introduced audiences to the artistic talents of noted playwright/director/actor Ain Gordon and announced an 18 month residency with Gordon and Philadelphia filmmaker Nadine Patterson. The residency was to unearth an overlooked or little known story from the city's history. The challenge was to find something in a city where history is an industry and stories abound. The artists have worked with several organizations across the city and have found inspiration in the women reformers who lived in the city from the early to mid-1800s. Place Philadelphia Project research will culminate in an as yet untitled workset to run at the Painted Bride, last weekend in April and the first weekend of May during the 2013 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts. Beginning today, PBS and American Masters are making the 2003 documentary American Masters The Education of Gore Vidal available for streaming on the American Masters website (http://pbs.org/americanmasters) and PBS Video (http://pbs.org/video) to commemorate the life of the eclectic intellectual who passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at age 86.
