Daphne Rubin-Vega to Present One-Night-Only EMPANADA LOCA in London

Broadway's acclaimed enfant terrible, two-time Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent, Anna in the Tropics, The Rocky Horror Show, A Streetcar Named Desire) will make her long-awaited London debut in a special staged reading presentation of Aaron Mark's 'spine-tingling and stomach-churning' (TimeOutNY), 'utterly transfixing' (Theatermania) one-woman thriller, Empanada Loca. The one-night-only event will take place at London's The Other Palace (12 Palace Street, London, SW1E 5JA) on Saturday, August 12th at 8pm.

Cynthia Hopkins' ARTICLES OF FAITH to Debut at LUMBERYARD in the City Festival

LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts will present the world premiere of Articles of Faith, a new, autobiographical performance work by the acclaimed interdisciplinary theater artist Cynthia Hopkins, June 15-17 at The Kitchen, as part of the second annual LUMBERYARD in the City festival. Hopkins created Articles of Faith in collaboration with designer Jeff Sugg after the destruction of her home, work studio, records and materials in a May 2015 fire.

Steve Earle to Make Off-Broadway Acting Debut in SAMARA at Soho Rep; Full Cast Announced!

At the Mezzanine Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 W 53rd Street), Soho Rep. is pleased to present the world premiere of Richard Maxwell's Samara, commissioned by Artistic Director Sarah Benson. In a departure, Maxwell, who has directed nearly all 20 of his plays, is handing over the directorial duties to Benson. Maxwell's work was seen previously at Soho Rep. in 2001 with Cavemen and in 1999 with Cowboys and Indians.
