New York Live Arts presents choreographer Gillian Walsh and her latest piece xgzdiiiiiicdiirrwjfffffffff (pronounced grief), commissioned by New York Live Arts and presented through its Live Feed creative residency program.

New York Live Arts Announces 2016-17 Season

The fall season at New York Live Arts, home of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company and under the artistic leadership of MacArthur Genius Award and National Medal of the Arts recipient Bill T. Jones and Associate Artistic Director Janet Wong, presents a dynamic roster of new works including five world and four New York City premieres, eight Live Arts commissions and an engaging schedule of humanities events.

Promotions Announced at Martha Graham Dance Company for 2016-17 Season

The Martha Graham Dance Company announces the promotion of five Company members for the 2016-17 season. Abdiel Jacobsen and Xin Ying have been promoted to Principal Dancer, and Charlotte Landreau, Lloyd Mayor, and Lorenzo Pagano have been promoted to Soloist. 

SPRING AWAKENING Comes to KSU Department of Theatre Tonight

An alluringly melancholy story of self-discovery and coming-of-age anxiety as seen through the eyes of young teenagers, SPRING AWAKENING will be presented by Kennesaw State University Department of Theatre and Performance Studies tonight, March 9 through March 20.

Theatre & Dance at Wayne to Present 87th Annual Spring Dance Concert

?Highlighting the works of world-class dance faculty, guest artists, and emerging choreographers, the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance Spring Dance Concert presents “Shifting Encounters” at the Bonstelle Theatre March 3?& 4?. The concert features nine dynamic works, all of which have been adjudicated and chosen by faculty to grace the stage.

The work will be performed at 6:30 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. at the Allesee Dance Theatre, located on the third floor in Old Main. CSC Extends Anne Washburn's IPHIGENIA IN AULIS Translation Into October

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, has announced that its production of IPHIGENIA IN AULIS, acclaimed playwright Anne Washburn's (Mr. Burns, a post-electric play) transadaptation of Euripides' final play, directed by Obie Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), will extend through Sunday, October 4 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). IPHIGENIA IN AULIS features original musical by The Bengsons and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. IPHIGENIA IN AULIS is part of CSC's Greek Festival, celebrating classical Greek theater as explored by some of the downtown theatre scene's most exciting artists.
