Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, held its annual honors yesterday, February 25, in Santa Monica. Hosted by Seth Rogan, the awards ceremony premiered later that night at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on IFC.

The show transfered to London's West End and opened November 24 to tremendous critical acclaim. Today, Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post that the show is now aiming to open on Broadway in the Spring of 2013, produced by the RSC themselves and overseen by Andre Ptaszynski, who formerly ran Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Really Useful Group.

Kneehigh Theatre Company is back with The Wild Bride at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. The Wild Bride is extending its run for three whole weeks.

Following a sensational sell-out season at The Courtyard Theatre, the RSC's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL transfered to London's West End and opened November 24 to tremendous critical acclaim, and according to Whatsonstage, plans will soon be made concerning bringing the new musical to Broadway. RSC artistic director Michael Boyd announced at a press conference last week that the Mailda team will travel to New York at the end of January to discuss future Broadway plans. Additionally the RSC will 'retain "absolute control" over the production.'

CBS has announced its schedule of upcoming guests on LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN for the week of 1/5-1/19. The show airs Monday through Friday, 11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT.

Two comedians best known for Late-Night will join the morning shift, and an entertainment host will showcase his talk show savvy the week of January 16-20, 2012, all part of the latest guest co-host line-up for 'LIVE! with Kelly.'
