Bravo Media cooks up a battle of secrets and knives in its newest culinary competition series RECIPE FOR DECEPTION premiering Thursday, January 21 at 10pm ET/PT.

Now entering its 101st season, the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene [NYTF] will honor David S. and Sylvia Steiner (joint lead producers on Golda's Balcony starring Tovah Feldshuh for Broadway and Film) at a Gala performance of the lost 1923 Yiddish American Operetta classic THE GOLDEN BRIDE on December 8 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage.

Sondheim Unplugged, New York's long running hit revue, will celebrate the 50th installment of the series with two very special gala performances on Sunday, December 27th at 7pm and 9:30pm at Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th St., Cellar, NYC). Clinton Hill cultural hub and OBIE award-winner JACK launches its winter/spring 2016 season with an a cappella opera set in Zimbabwe by composer Tanyaradzwa Tawengwa, a weekend of curated works by Modesto "Flako" Jimenez, the premiere of the dirty and bracing play Tom & Eliza, by Celine Song, the English-language premiere of Argentinian playwright Rafael Spregelburd's SPAM, The Geneva Project by Jennifer Harrison Newman, Antonio Ramos' Thirsty Mind, love and starvation sitting in a lonely tree and an exploration in minimalist/pop art performance by the No Face Performance Group.  JACK also engineers the return of Walter Dundervill's ARENA (which had two sold-out runs at JACK in 2014 and 2015). 

?The McLean Community Players' production of the musical 1776, based on the events surrounding the drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence, opens Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, and runs weekends through Feb. 21 at McLean's Alden Theatre.  With music by Sherman Edwards and a book by Peter Stone, 1776 became an improbable hit and won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical in 1969.  Director Annie O'Neill Galvin leads an award-winning cast and crew for this production.

Featuring a cast of 20 and an orchestra of 14, this rare glimpse back into musical theater history begins previews tonight, December 2, as part of NYTF's inaugural year in residency at the Museum of Jewish Heritage [MJH]. The production marks the first long-running, full-scale production hosted at the Museum's 375-seat Edmond J. Safra Hall, which will be specially transformed for this ambitious event. Opening night is slated for Wednesday, December 9.
