Yale Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of THE MOORS by Jen Silverman, directed by Jackson Gay, January 29-February 20 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, February 4.

Creative Cauldron will premiere MONSTERS OF THE VILLA DIODATI, a new musical written by Stephen Gregory Smith and Matt Conner. The production will run from January 28th through February 21st, 2016 at ArtSpace Falls Church.  Press Night is Saturday, February 6th at 8:00 pm.

?San Diego Musical Theatre announces the first production of their 2016 season, RAGTIME, February 5-21, 2016 (press opening on Saturday, February 6th) at the Spreckels Theatre.

The Drama League will celebrate a major milestone tonight that few organizations have achieved…its 100th year of service to the American theatre community. The 100th Birthday Party will be held tonight,January 11, 2016 at Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street, Cellar).  The sold-out celebration will include cocktails, dinner, speeches and musical performances recognizing the history, achievements, and future of the award-winning arts education organization.  

The Sixth Annual Clive Barnes Awards for Theatre and Dance will be held this afternoon, January 11, at 3 p.m. at The Walter Reade Theatre, Lincoln Center. One recipient from each category will be chosen and the winners announced today. All finalists will receive a cash prize, with the winners in each category receiving an award of $5,000.

Geffen Playhouse announces a premiere theatrical event for Los Angeles - ten years in the making. Will Eno's lauded play was a finalist for the 2005 Pulitzer Prize in Drama and has been translated into more than fifteen languages, with more than 100 productions mounted worldwide.

"This is a young person's form," Bill Irwin insisted when Signature's James Houghton insisted he and Shiner create a new show together.

Signature Theatre's Board of Trustees announced today the appointment of Paige Evans as Artistic Director beginning July 1, 2016. She succeeds Founding Artistic Director James Houghton, who will step down at the end of June. Ms. Evans comes to Signature Theatre from Lincoln Center Theater, where she has served as Artistic Director of LCT3 since its inception in 2008. 

Signature Theatre has announced casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for Angel Reapers, written by Residency Five playwright Martha Clarke and Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winner Alfred Uhry, directed and choreographed by Ms. Clarke. Angel Reapers runs February 2 to March 13, 2016 with a Monday, February 22 opening night in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Signature Theatre has announced a four week extension for the special return engagement of Old Hats, created and performed by Bill Irwin and David Shiner, with music and lyrics by and featuring Shaina Taub, directed by Tina Landau. Long Wharf Theatre presents, in conjunction with Eva Price, THE LION, written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, directed by Sean Daniels, from tonight, January 6 through February 7, 2016. The play will take place on Stage II. The press opening will take place on January 13, 2016 at 7:30 pm.

Serenbe Playhouse and AIR Serenbe (the artist in residence program at Serenbe) are proud to announce a new play development program unlike any other: the 1st Annual New Territories Playwriting Residency, a Writers-in-Residence Program for Outdoor, Site-Specific Plays. New Territories will bring three playwrights to Chattahoochee Hills, GA to develop new outdoor, site-specific theatre from January 17-30, 2016.

The Matrix Theatre Company honors Black History Month with the Los Angeles premiere of The Mountaintop, directed by Obie Award-winner Roger Guenveur Smith and starring Larry Bates and Danielle Mone Truitt. Recipient of London's 2010 Olivier Award, Katori Hall's gripping and often humorous re-imagining of events the night before the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. takes on new meaning with the advent of the Black Lives Matter movement. Los Altos Stage Company is thrilled to announce the Bay Area Premiere of Will Eno's whimsical and poetic tale, Middletown. Winner of the inaugural Horton Foote Award for Most Promising New Play in 2010, Middletown opens on January 29 (preview performance on January 28) and runs through February 21 at the Bus Barn Theater in Los Altos.

  Peter Friedman, Keilly McQuail, Naian Gonzalez Norvind, Robbie Collier Sublett, Joyce Van Patten and Mare Winningham will be featured in the LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater world premiere of HER REQUIEM, by Greg Pierce, directed by Kate Whoriskey. HER REQUIEM will begin performances Saturday, February 6, open Monday, February 22, and run for six weeks only through Sunday, March 20 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).
