After a record number of voters in more than 70 regions worldwide, BroadwayWorld is very excited to announce the 2015 Washington, DC winners! Highlights include Ben Platt winning 'Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical' for DEAR EVAN HANSEN, Dan DeLuca as 'Best Actor in a Leading Role in a National Tour Production', and Lucie Arnaz for 'Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a National Tour.' This heartfelt comedy follows the three Rosensweig sisters who are different as can be - a no-nonsense international banker, a kvelling mother of four and a bohemian world-traveling journalist. When the three hilariously reunite at Sara's London home for her 54th birthday celebration, a barrage of suitors and unexpected revelations make for one remarkable weekend. FREAKY FRIDAY Musical to Follow in 'HUNCHBACK' Footsteps with MTI Licensing

On the heels of the news that Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's new musical adaptation of FREAKY FRIDAY will hit the stage in Washington, D.C. this fall, theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) just announced it has secured worldwide licensing rights for the show and will allow professional -- and eventually amateur theatres -- to produce the musical after its debut.
Josh Lamon & Noah Racey to Lead ROAD SHOW at Signature Theatre

Signature Theatre has announced the cast of Road Show directed by Gary Griffin (Broadway's Honeymoon in Vegas, Signature's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum). Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's musical, about the real-life Mizner brothers and their quest for the ever elusive American dream, was praised as 'fierce, funny, lean and heartbreaking' by the Chicago Sun-Times when Griffin's production premiered at Chicago Shakespeare Theater in 2014. Road Show will run from February 16 - March 13 in Signature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre.
