ROMEO AND JULIET Begins This Month at Wheelhouse Theater Co.

The Wheelhouse Theater Company, fresh off the heels of it's critically acclaimed production of Julius Caesar this past spring, and under the direction of Founding Artistic Director Jeffrey Wise, has announced that it will stage a searing and imaginative production of ROMEO AND JULIET, Thursday, June 23rd through July 9th at the Davenport Theatre's Black Box Theatre, 354 West 45th Street. Mr. Wise will co direct with Matt Harrington. The official opening night will be held on June 28th at 7:30PM. www.wheelhousetheatercompany.com 

Tom Grace, Matt Ray Brown and Rory Fairbairn Announced for JOURNEY'S END Tour

Immersion Theatre today announced lead casting for their Autumn 2016 tour of R.C. Sherriff's Journey's End. Tom Grace (The Ilyiad, Labyrinth) will play Stanhope, and will be joined by Matt Ray Brown (1984, Ghosts) as Osborne and Rory Fairbairn (Madame X, Blackout) as Raleigh.

Tonic Theatre Honours Women in Theatre with TONIC CELEBRATES

Tonic Theatre today announces the inaugural Tonic Celebrates event which is a new initiative for the company celebrating the achievements of inspirational women in theatre. For the first event on 22 June at Ambassadors Theatre, Tonic Theatre's Director Lucy Kerbel will be in conversation with multi award-winning lighting designer Paule Constable, Artistic Director of the Tricycle Theatre Indhu Rubasingham, and playwright Jessica Swale. GROUNDHOG DAY Previews Delayed at the Old Vic

The world premiere of GROUNDHOG DAY has been delayed because of the 'technical requirements' involved in the production.  Previews are now postponed until 15 July with an opening night of 16 August.

Take Five! Spend Your Tea Break with New Harry Potter Jamie Parker

After months of anticipation, the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child finally begins previews at the Palace Theatre in the West End this week. The new play is a collaboration between Potter creator J.K. Rowling, playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany, and stars Jamie Parker as Harry Potter, Poppy Miller as Ginny Potter, Sam Clemmett as Albus Potter, Paul Thornley as Ron Weasley, Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger, Cherrelle Skeete as Rose Granger-Weasley, Alex Price as Draco Malfoy, Anthony Boyle as Scorpius Malfoy.

Casting Announced for Bryony Kimmings' A PACIFIST'S GUIDE TO THE WAR ON CANCER

A casting update is announced today for the world premiere of new musical A Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer with book by Bryony Kimmings and Brian Lobel, music by Tom Parkinson and lyrics by Bryony Kimmings. Kimmings directs a cast including Naana Agyei-Ampadu, Amy Booth-Steel, Hal Fowler, Amanda Hadingue, Akiya Henry, Golda Rosheuvel, Rose Shalloo, Gareth Snook and Gary Wood.

London Classic Theatre Brings Pinter's THE BIRTHDAY PARTY to Belgrade Theatre

Following successful tours of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot in 2015, London Classic Theatre return to the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, with their new production of Harold Pinter's THE BIRTHDAY PARTY from Tues 14 to Sat 18 June. It's directed by Michael Cabot, with design by Bek Palmer and lighting by Andy Grange.

The European premiere of Rex Pickett's acclaimed comedy SIDEWAYS opens tonight at St James Theatre, directed by David Grindley, for a limited run until July 9. National Theatre Wales' BEFORE I LEAVE Begins Today

National Theatre Wales' next production, Before I Leave, by Patrick Jones and directed by Matthew Dunster (who directed the multi-award-winning Mametz for NTW in June 2014), begins today, 27 May. It features covers of well-known songs by artists ranging from Tom Jones to the Sex Pistols, plus a new song by Nicky Wire and James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers, and will be performed at the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff.

In the 450th year of William Shakespeare's birth, Brooklyn based classical actress Klahr Thorsen shares her journey from child actress to the stage of the Globe Theatre as she awakens the Lady Macbeth within. Klahr Thorsen's solo show Screw Your Courage! (or The Bloody Crown!) is inspired by two defining events in her own life: A lifelong obsession with Shakespeare's Lady Macbeth and her own mother's mental illness.

Theatr Clwyd Sets 40th Anniversary Season

In Theatr Clwyd's 40th anniversary year, Artistic Director Tamara Harvey, today announces full casting for her Theatr Clwyd directorial debut production of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Harvey directs Lisa Palfrey in the role of Beatrice and John Ramm as Benedict. SHINING CITY, Starring Matthew Broderick, Starts Tonight at Irish Rep

A friendly reminder! Previews begin tonight for Irish Repertory Theatre's production of Conor McPherson's acclaimed play SHINING CITY, starring two-time Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick. Cast Announced For Mike Bartlett's WILD at Hampstead Theatre

The world premiere of Mike Bartlett's darkly comic new play WILD, directed by James Macdonald, will star Jack Farthing, Caoilfhionn Dunne and John Mackay. The production previews from June 10 and runs until July 16 on the Hampstead's main stage.
