The American Songbook Project will be hosting a benefit on Tuesday, July 26th at Sardi's from 7 to 9 pm. Author and advertising exec, Tyler DeAngelo, will read excerpts from each chapter of his hilarious book 'Learn Just Enough to Get Laid' followed by several of New York's finest male artists performing sons on each chapter's topic: cooking, wine, speaking French, astronomy, construction, magic, guitar, and religion. The reading of each chapter's excerpt will be followed by a suitable selection from the American Songbook, performed by some of New York's most eligible and ineligible bachelors. THe vening will feature musical direction by Lance Horne, composer, recording artist, Juilliard faculty, member of the TASP Board of Directors.

Over fifteen Broadway and National Tour performers will join notable personalities on Monday, June 27, 2011 to celebrate New York City's Gay Pride at The LGBT Center in Manhattan. Broadway Sings for Pride: A Benefit Concert, is being produced by Neal B of NealB.tv and will benefit The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Attendees will enjoy the vast array of songs from Lady Gaga to The Beatles, along with a plethora of Broadway hits. Musical performances will feature cast members from The Book of Mormon, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Rent, Wonderland, Mamma Mia, Anything Goes and many more! Jim Lahti will serve as the evening's musical director and Carly Jibson (Broadway's Hairspray and Cry-Baby) will emcee. Musical accompaniment will be provided Jim Lahti on piano, Sean Harkness on acoustic & electric guitar and David Silliman on percussion. Kat Dudina and Mia Grottola, American Sign Language interpreters, will be signing for the hard of hearing and deaf community.

The awards ceremony and show was produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts and was held at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. The evening was hosted by Christine Pedi. Steven Ray Watkins was the musical director.

Terese Genecco & Her Little Big Band packed the house last night at The Iridium for another high-energy, super-charged Las Vegas-style performance. In addition to Genecco's big, swingin' vocals, the generous host welcomed friends and guest stars to join in on the fun. Producer/performer Scott Barbarino took the stage and enlisted Genecco to sing back-up vocals for him on the Dean Martin favorite 'Memories Are Made Of This' then flew solo on Genecco's signature tune 'Ain't That A Kick In The Head.'
