On Monday, August 4th, eleven emerging and established Broadway performers will star in Broadway Gets GLAAD, a concert to benefit GLAAD, the leading organization in support of a positive LGBT image in the entertainment industry.
The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) celebrates emerging composers and performers with two concert series - Grassroots July 10 and 11 at 7 pm and Trailblazers July 15 at 7 pm and 16 at 7 pm - at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Cafe? After a national online search, the votes have been tallied and the top 10 finalists for BroadwaySpotted's Next Big Star have been announced. The 10 finalists will compete for the title of BroadwaySpotted's Next Big Star live at The Davenport Theatre (354 West 45 Street New York, NY 10036) tonight, May 22nd, 2014 at 7PM. The winner will be determined by a panel of industry judges and popular audience vote. Industry judges include Tony Award winning Producer Ken Davenport (Kinky Boots, Godspell), casting director Cesar Rocha (C.S.A, Telsey + Company), composer/lyricist Georgia Stitt (This Ordinary Today), and acclaimed NYC voice teacher Robert Sussuma; rock audition guru Sheri Sanders (Rock The Audition) will host the evening.
After the tremendous success of Hatched: Fresh Work. Freshmen (2013), Hatched: New Work in New York (2012) and Rated RSO: College Edition (2011), Ryan Scott Oliver and Pace University's Musical Theater Class of 2017 will present the annual freshmen cabaret HATCHED.
