BWW Single Review: Saycon Sengbloh's 'Everything' Keeps Your Summer Hot

Broadway veteran Saycon Sengbloh isn't letting the early closing of HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME get her down. Ever since she caught the attention of theatergoers in AIDA and WICKED, her fans have followed her career with rapt attention. Like many of her peers, she has also been sharing her vocal talents with the pop music industry. Her latest single, "Everything," dropped earlier this week, and is a catchy dance hit that is sure to heat up your summer.

Holler If Ya Hear Me, written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Kenny Leon, plays its final Broadway performance today after 30 performances. The Tupac inspired musical originally opened on June 19 at the Palace Theatre.

Broadway's Saycon Sengbloh to Perform at SOB's Tonight

Broadway star, Saycon Sengbloh (Motown / Fela / Holler If Ya Hear Me), is set to perform for the YouKnowIGotSoul.com presents SOL Village R&B Showcase tonight, July 16, 2014 at the infamous SOB's (Sounds of Brazil) in New York City where the doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 9:00pm. Saycon will be singing her own brand of vintage pop soul music! The concert will also feature performances by Maurice, Clinton Babers, Sincerely XO, and Adreena.

HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME Producer Raising $5M to Keep Show Open

Broadway's Holler If Ya Hear Me opened to mixed reviews last month, but lead producer Eric L. Gold won't let that affect the show's open-ended run at the Palace Theatre. He recently told Variety that he hopes to raise another $5 million to keep the new musical open until ticket sales improve. When asked how long the show will remain, Gold told Variety: 'It's week to week right now. It can't tell you if it'll be two weeks or two months. It's an expensive game, and I'm the guy carrying the load financially. I made a rookie mistake by underestimating how much capital was necessary, but I'm tenacious.'
