On the eve of Valentine's Day, Kara Lindsay, currently starring in Disney's “Newsies” on Broadway, will be joined on-stage by her husband Kevin Massey (Memphis), her college best friend Kirsten Scott (Big Fish), her original “Newsies” co-star, Jeremy Jordan ('Smash'), his wife, Ashley Spencer (Rock of Ages), Santino Fontana ('Frozen'), his girlfriend Jessica Hershberg (Cinderella), Drew Gehling (Jersey Boys), his wife Sara Jean Ford (The Phantom of the Opera), Patrick Cummings (Happiness), his girlfriend, Alessa Neeck (Cinderella), Thea Brooks (Dirty Dancing), and musical director Benjamin Rauhala (Hit List) in a celebration of Broadway romance, both on and off-stage. The evening will also feature bluegrass trio 'Shubert Alley,' featuring Kevin Massey, his brother Patrick Massey, and Jamison Scott (Spider-Man). They will be accompanied by Rauhala on the keys, and Charlie Rosen (One Man, Two Guvnors), who will alternate on bass, acoustic guitar, and drums. This is one concert no hopeless romantic should miss!

'Submissions Only,' Broadway's favorite webseries, is back with its highly anticipated third season. Season Three will be comprised of eight episodes spread over a 16-week period, and will air exclusively on BroadwayWorld.com beginning March 3, 2014.

Just last night, Broadway's elite gathered to honor Ted Chapin, president of Rodgers & Hammerstein (a division of Imagem), at UJA-Federation of New York's Theater Division 2014 Excellence in Theater Award Dinner. Among the attendees included Tony Award nominees and Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella co-stars Santino Fontana and Laura Osnes, and Billy Stritch, Grammy-winning composer, musical director, and performer. Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Bill Army, Will Brill, Laurel Casillo, Chuck Cooper, Steven Kaplan, Will LeBow, Mimi Lieber, Charlotte Maier, Andrea Martin, Deborah Offner, Matthew Saldivar, Matthew Schechter, Bob Stillman and Amy Warren will join Santino Fontana and Tony Shalhoub in the cast of its upcoming production of ACT ONE, a play written and directed by James Lapine from the autobiography by Moss Hart. The production is scheduled to begin previews Thursday, March 20 and open on Thursday, April 17 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

In yet another stunning coup, Disney's newest animated movie musical FROZEN started last week as the #1 movie in the country, became the #1 soundtrack during the week and has now capped it this weekend with standout single 'Let It Go' cracking the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40.

FROZEN, featuring showstopper 'Let It Go,' which was nominated for 'Best Original Song,' beat out DESPICABLE ME 2 and THE CROODS.

Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen just shared a photo on Instagram and another on Twitter of her stepping into CINDERELLA's gown and slippers for the first time in preparation for her Broadway debut in February. Currently playing at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway in NYC), Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA began previews in January of 2013 and opened on March 3.

The producers of the hit musical CINDERELLA on Broadway announce new cast members who will join the company in the coming weeks: starting January 28, Joe Carroll begins performances as Prince Topher, taking over the role from original cast member and Tony Award nominee Santino Fontana, who concludes his year-long run in the musical. Also beginningJanuary 28, Todd Buonopane will replace original cast member Greg Hildreth as the rebel Jean-Michel; and CINDERELLA ensemble member Stephanie Gibson will replace Marla Mindelle as stepsister Gabrielle. On January 21, Tony Award winner Victoria Clark will return as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother Marie, which she originated and for which she received a Tony Award nomination. Tony nominee Rebecca Luker has performed the role of Marie since September.

In its fifth weekend at the box office, Disney's latest animtated feature, FROZEN, iced out the competition, claiming the top spot with $20.7 million, pushing the film to the $300 million mark.

Billboard reports that Disney's FROZEN soundtrack could slide past Beyonce's self-titled album to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart by Sunday.
