Producers Victor Syrmis and Carl Rumbaugh, along with Culture Project, announced today that the World Premiere of In Masks Outrageous and Austere, the final full-length play by Tennessee Williams, will end its limited engagement following the matinee performance on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. The show, which began previews at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) on April 6 and opened on Monday, April 16, will have played 9 preview performance and 28 regular performances.

Producers Victor Syrmis, Carl Rumbaugh and Susan Batson, along with Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) today announced the complete cast and creative team for the World Premiere of In Masks Outrageous and Austere, the final full length play by Tennessee Williams, directed by David Schweizer. Performances will now begin on Friday, April 6, 2012 with an Opening Night set for Monday, April 16, 2012 at Culture Project at 45 Bleecker (at Lafayette Street). The production is scheduled to play through May 26, 2012.

The New Yorker today features an article that highlights the favorite albums of Broadway veteran Alec Baldwin, which feature the musical of musical theatre legend Stephen Sondheim. Baldwin writes: 'Stephen Sondheim is responsible for many of the greatest musicals of the past half century; this odd, ultimately haunting collection of set pieces is my favorite. Take your pick between the original recording, with the great Victor Garber and Jonathan Hadary, or the 2006 revival with Michael Cerveris and Denis O'Hare. Rubinsky (aka Bobby The Middle-Aged Celebrity); HAIR alumni including Heather MacRae, André De Shields, Ula Hedwig, Zora Rasmussen, Dale Soules. Other guests included Luther Creek (SPIDER-MAN, 25th Anniversary tour of HAIR, RENT) who performed excerpts from Rado's latest musical AMERICAN SOLDIER (written with brother Ted Rado) at the party along with Rosalind Brown, A.D. Coughlan, Ula Hedwig, Sean Jenness, Marjorie LiPari, Michael Lynch, Natalie Mosco, Cheryl Pepsii Riley, Gordon Ramsey, Robert I. Rubinsky, Sam Underwood and Alex York.
