The whole family will enjoy this heart-warming musical story of the first Christmas tree ship and the family who risked their lives to fill Chicago with the Christmas spirit. Hailed as 'A sacred part of a Chicago Christmas!' by The Chicago Tribune, the production features a powerful, moving story, an exquisite score of original music and traditional holiday favorites, and a company of 25 actors and musicians. The production is helmed by the Jeff-award winning team of L. Walter Stearns (Director), Eugene Dizon (Musical Director) and Brenda Didier (Choreographer).

Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra Presents Their Annual Celebration of Music, STOMPIN' AT THE PHIL, 11/23

November 6, 2013 – East Providence, RI – On the Saturday evening before Thanksgiving, friends of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School will transform Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet into an authentic jazz club as they gather for the Philharmonic's Annual Celebration of Music. “Stompin' at the Phil: An Evening with the Giants of Jazz” will offer cocktails, dinner and dancing with four groups of musicians showcasing a variety of jazz styles through the years. Event chairs are Anne Sage and Jesse Sgro, and Mark and Catherine Gim. Honorary chairs are Marjorie and Robert Catanzaro, Ellen and Charles Collis, and Robert and Marie Petrarca. DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Conference Centre Regina, marking the debut of Hilton Worldwide's globally-renowned hotel brand into the market. The hotel, formerly the Regina Inn Hotel and Conference Centre, unveils property-wide upgrades following a 10-month, multi-million dollar renovation that includes a total refurbishment of its 235 guest rooms, 18,000 square feet of flexible conference space and a new full-service restaurant. The hotel is owned and operated by SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts.

Natya Dance Theatre Presents World Premiere THE SEVENTH LOVE Tonight

Natya Dance Theatre, Chicago's critically-acclaimed and longest running Dance Company rooted in the Indian dance-theater technique of Bharata Natyam, returns to the Harris Theater with the World Premiere of The Seventh Love, an exploration of love in eastern teachings based on the life of the god Krishna. The Seventh Love is conceived by Natya Associate Artistic Director Krithika Rajagopalan in collaboration with David Kersnar, a founding member of Chicago's Tony Award-winning Lookingglass Theatre, and is written and directed by Kersnar and choreographed by Natya Founder and Artistic Director Hema Rajagopalan. Natya presents The Seventh Love in one performance only at the Harris Theater, 205 E. Randolph Street, tonight, November 2 at 7:30 pm.

CCBC Dance Company's Annual Fall Concert Set for 11/14-15

The Community College of Baltimore County mounts its annual Fall Dance Concert to highlight the progress of students in the CCBC Dance Company as well as showcase original works choreographed by CCBC Dance faculty and guest artists.

American Blues Theater's IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: LIVE IN CHICAGO! to Open 11/24

American Blues Theater, one of Chicago's oldest Equity ensemble, and Producing Director Gwendolyn Whiteside are proud to announce the return of the critically acclaimed It's a Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago!, directed by Marty Higginbotham, now at its new venue: the mainstage of the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave., November 22 - December 29. Taproot Theatre to Stage LE CLUB NOEL, 11/29-12/28

Taproot Theatre presents Le Club Noel, an original Christmas play by Seattle playwrights and performers Candace and Sam Vance. Step into a 1930's Parisian Cabaret and fall under the spell of Le Club Noel, where the band is hot and the songs sung by a beautiful chanteuse. Together they create music to awaken love in the coldest of hearts. With money scarce, and WWII on the horizon, this close-knit band of musicians reminds us that Christmas has always been a time for miracles. Associate Artistic Director Karen Lund directs Le Club Noel which opens on November 29 and runs through December 28 with low-price previews on November 22 and 23 and a pay-what-you-can performance on November 27.
