The 10th Annual Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals, produced by Goodspeed Musicals' Max Showalter Center for Education in Musical Theatre, kicks off its much-anticipated three day festival of brand-new works today, January 16, 2015 at the Goodspeed Opera House with a staged reading of the Jesse James-inspired musical Outlaws. On Saturday, January 17, the musical comedy The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes debuts. On the final day of the festival, the riveting For Tonight will be presented. Several special events will round out this exciting weekend.

Perennial New York art-pop singer Rachael Sage has confirmed plans for a Valentine's Day concert at Joe's Pub in New York City. The local event, set for February 10th with advance tickets available now, will showcase Sage and her band The Sequins (featuring drummer Andy Mac and cellist Ward Williams,) as well as other guest performers, to be announced in the weeks ahead. Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans presents John Patrick Shanley's new romantic comedy Outside Mullingar. The play by the Pulitzer, Oscar and Tony Award-winning writer of Moonstruck and Doubt will be directed by Artistic Director BJ Jones.
