A woman finds her calling while volunteering for an underground political newspaper during the early years of the United Farm Workers movement. Written and directed by Obie Award winner Diane Rodriguez, the world premiere of The Sweetheart Deal opens May 12 at The Los Angeles Theatre Center, presented by The Latino Theater Company in association with El Teatro Campesino.

Dom Kelly grew up around music. As part of the group, A Fragile Tomorrow, Dom along with brothers Sean, Brendan and friend Shaun Rhodes, Dom has travelled all over the world performing and entertaining. From the time he was 11 years old, Dom enjoyed the opportunity to make music with his band. With many challenges and obstacles to overcome early in their lives, A Fragile Tomorrow has been a source of strength for the family. Dom Kelly decided it was time to try to make some music on his own and his first solo album entitled “Everything is Just Enough” will be released on April 7, 2017. BWW caught up with Dom recently as he shared his thoughts and insights on his first album.

Influenced by the absurdity of his chaotic cultural surroundings, Yang Mai challenges traditional forms and reconfigures notions of value in his installation, Made in China. Merging sculpture with personal narrative and storytelling, Mai hopes to 'to redefine traditional notions of fashion and express the rebellion of humanity' as well as engage viewers in discussions about the possible functions of fashion and the sculptural possibilities of innovative garment installation.

Jo-Ann Ragosta, Chairperson of the ARTS Scholarships 2017 program, along with the members of the Community Outreach Committee of the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), are pleased to announce the winners of the ARTS Scholarships 2017 program, sponsored by the Textron Charitable Trust and PPAC Annual Fund Donors. This year's program will award scholarships to 36 talented Rhode Island students, ages 11 - 14, each of whom will receive a scholarship of up to $500 to attend a local summer arts education program of their choice (please see below for the list of ARTS Scholarships 2017 winners).
National Theatre's MY COUNTRY Coming to HOME This Spring
