ABC announced today more stars of music, film and television who will join the celebration of Mickey Mouse on 'Mickey's 90th Spectacular,' airing SUNDAY, NOV. 4 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. The two-hour television event paying tribute to the True Original will feature appearances by Skylar Astin ('Pitch Perfect' franchise, 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'), GRAMMYÒ-nominated singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini, actor Miles Brown (ABC's 'black-ish,' 'Dancing with the Stars: Juniors'), Anna Camp ('Pitch Perfect' franchise, the upcoming feature film 'The Wedding Year'), Josh Gad (Disney's 'Frozen'), Wendi McLendon-Covey (ABC's 'The Goldbergs,' 'Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween,' 'Bridesmaids') and Sage Steele (host of ESPN's 'SportsCenter'), as well as special musical performances by Luis Fonsi and Tori Kelly.

The Woman Who Went to Space as a Man - Part fact, part fever dream, and part musical, this captivating new work opens with Alice B. Sheldon - better known to sci-fi aficionados as author James Tiptree, Jr. - contemplating suicide. Dodging in and out of reality, the play, with a bold musical score from award-winning world music artist Yuval Ron, investigates gender, longing and creativity as self-exploration through one of the science fiction world's greatest literary tricksters.

The irrepressible former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett announces his 2019 European Tour. Setting off on 2nd November 2019, Steve and his band will perform 20 shows around the UK.

Xiuhtezcatl (pronounced Shoe-Tez-Caht), young and progressive hip-hop artist, made it into the public eye as an activist speaking out on critical issues including climate change and Indigenous rights. He also performed and supported the Standing Rock movement. When he first started to write bars, he initially meant them to be a creative outlet for his activism.  Xiuhtezcatl recalls “I saw this album serving as a call to action for the world. Calling my generation to overcome the limitations and boundaries our broken world has placed on us. Calling on our communities to break free from the oppression and injustice that we face.” But as the album and tracks progressed the artistic process took hold, and became less about his work as an activist, and more of a reflection of Xiuhtezcatl's growth and self-discovery as a young man and an artist. Xiuhtezcatl is due to release his powerful debut album, Break Free, on October 5th.

If you were fortunate to be in the opening night audience of Commonwealth Theater Company's (CTC) production of Blue Stockings, you had the privilege to witness not only a brilliant performance but also a pre-show panel discussion entitled 'Leadership, Representation, and the Impact of Women in Higher Education: Past, Present & Future' with Sadiqa Reynolds, President & CEO, Louisville Urban League, Inc., Tori Murden McClure, President of Spalding University, Kimberly Kempf-Leonard, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Louisville, and CTC Outreach Director and production director Heather Burns. This discussion addressed the struggles of gender inequality and opportunity in the collegiate field. Diving into hard-hitting questions such as: is there room for all of us (all genders), and are women feeling more valued? while shedding light on the power of competence versus dominance, the panel provided a thought-provoking meditation for themes of suffrage and rights in Blue Stockings.

In September last year, Josh Tillman stopped by Third Man Records' Nashville headquarters on an otherwise ordinary Tuesday afternoon and surprised them all with a lunchtime solo, acoustic set before his sold-out Ryman Auditorium performance. They, of course, had their 1955 Scully Lathe at the ready to capture the occasion. A weeklong festival exploring big questions about life and death will unfold not just in theaters and concerts halls across New York City's five boroughs, but also in hospitals, libraries, houses of worship, senior centers, and even cemeteries from October 27th through November 3rd as part of the first Reimagine End of Life New York.

 Boston Ballet presents BB@home: ChoreograpHER, a program dedicated to emerging female choreographers from Boston Ballet Company dancers featuring six original works by Principal Dancer Lia Cirio, Second Soloist Hannah Bettes, and Artists Jessica Burrows, Lauren Flower, Sage Humphries, and Haley Schwan. Performances will be held November 1-2, 2018, at 7:30 pm at Boston Ballet's South End headquarters (19 Clarendon Street) in an intimate, black box theater setting.

Coterie Theatre debuts 40th season with the Premier of Kevin Willmott's play Becoming Martin. More a coming of age story than history lesson, Willmotts' play is written with families with children ages 11 and older in mind.
