The Oshman Family JCC will present the West Coast premiere of an acclaimed new production of The Dybbuk, featuring an all-star cast, 8pm Saturday, September 24, and 5pm Sunday, September 25 at the OFJCC's Schultz Cultural Arts Hall. The Dybbuk is a multimedia chamber opera composed by Ofer Ben-Amots, inspired by S. Ansky's timeless Yiddish play, and directed by Thomas Lindblade.

Happy Birthday Tony Kushner! Kushner's best known work is Angels in America, a seven-hour epic about the AIDS epidemic in Reagan-era New York, which was later adapted into a miniseries for which Kushner wrote the screenplay. His other plays include Hydriotaphia, Slavs!: Thinking About the Longstanding Problems of Virtue and Happiness, A Bright Room Called Day, Homebody/Kabul, and the book for the musical Caroline, or Change. His new translation of Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children was performed at the Delacorte Theater in the summer of 2006 starring Meryl Streep and directed by George C. Wolfe. Kushner has also adapted Brecht's The Good Person of Szechwan, Corneille's The Illusion, and S. Ansky's play The Dybbuk.

Tonight, San Diego REP hosted their Season 41 announcement party, where company leadership announced the 2016-2017 lineup featuring two world premiere plays with music, with books by Hershey Felder and by Todd Salovey, respectively; two world premiere plays by Herbert Siguenza and Karen Zacarias, respectively; the 2013 Pulitzer Prize winner for drama; one of the most produced plays in America; and the plans for a newly renovated lobby and seating area of the Stage theatre.

A Jewish Theater Company and New York's first one dedicated to Sabbath-observant artists, will present A DYBBUK FOR TWO PEOPLE, Bruce Myers's acclaimed two person adaptation of S. Ansky's classic Jewish play THE DYBBUK directed by 24/6's Co-Founding Artistic Director, Yoni Oppenheim. The production will play on December 28th at 3:00 pm, at the JCC in Manhattan, 334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street New York, NY 10023. Rachel Dickstein, Jeremy Bloom & More Chosen for Drama League's 2014 Artist Residency Program

The Drama League (Gabriel Shanks, Executive Director; Roger T. Danforth, Artistic Director) has announced the ten artists and theater ensembles chosen to develop new plays and musicals as part of the 2014 Artist Residency Program. The development of these works, which include two 2014 Artists In Residence, Rachel Dickstein/Ripe Time and Jeremy Bloom/Rady&Bloom, will be held at The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas) in Tribeca from March-July 2014.

NIGHT GAMES by Lenny Leibowitz, was originally scheduled to open at Marvell Rep on Thursday, February 14 at 8 PM. It will now be opening tonight, February 23 at 8 p.m. in its world premiere, adapted from the novella Spiel im Morgengrauen by Arthur Schnitzler.

Previews for FLIRTATION, the third play in Marvell Rep's 'Desire and Delusion' winter repertory project, begin tonight at TBG Theatre. The romantic drama by Arthur Schnitzler - the same source material that inspired Max Ophuls' film version, LIEBELEI, which screens at Film Forum in early March - is part of Marvell Rep's three-show repertory exploring the themes of 'desire and delusion' in fin de siecle Vienna. FLIRTATION runs in repertory with NIGHT GAMES, a world premiere based on a Schnitzler novella, and SECRETS, a play about the relationship between Jung and Freud, who called Schnitzler his 'psychic twin,' through March 17. The official opening is Monday, February 25, at 8 p.m. Lenny Leibowitz, Marvell Rep's artistic director, directed the production using the translation by Carl R. Mueller.

The Drama Desk nominated MARVELL REP will present its Winter 2013 Repertory Project, Desire & Delusion: 3 plays in repertory, from February 8 - March 17, at TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street. The project will feature the company's first World Premiere, NIGHT GAMES, a new play written & directed by MARVELL REP Artistic Director, Lenny Leibowitz (February 8-March 6), adapted from the novella Spiel im Morgengrauen, by Arthur Schnitzler.
