Burning Coal Theatre Company Presents David Edgar's WRITTEN ON THE HEART

Burning Coal Theatre Company will present David Edgar's Written on the Heart, a drama about the creation of the King James Bible. The play will run December 1-3, 8-10 and 15-17, 2016 at 7:30 pm and December 4, 11 and 18th at 2 pmat Burning Coal's Murphey School Auditorium, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC 27604. 

CAPA Mourns Loss of President and CEO William B. Conner Jr.

The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) today announced the passing of its president and CEO, William B. Conner Jr. After a two-year battle with cancer, Conner died this morning at the age of 64 surrounded by loved ones.

Robert Sean Leonard, Ken Ludwig, Josh Rhodes Slated for The Old Globe's 2017 Summer Season

The Old Globe today announced the remaining productions in its 2017 Summer Season, including a brand-new comedy, Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood!, and a Summer Shakespeare Festival lineup featuring Robert Sean Leonard in the title role of the towering history play Richard II, directed by Erica Schmidt. Shakespeare's exhilarating tragedy Hamlet follows, directed by Old Globe Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, one of the leading American authorities on the works of Shakespeare.

The Salon/Sanctuary Announces 2016 – 2017 Concert Season

Joining the world-wide 500th anniversary commemorations of the creation in Venice of the world's first ghetto, Salon/Sanctuary Concerts' eighth season explores the musical worlds shaped by ancestors and descendents of exiles. From Esther to Shylock, from Troubadors to Dowland, we glimpse at fault lines of acceptance refracted through the prism of music.

THE TEMPEST, Orange Tree Theatre, 27 October 2016

Kelly Hunter, a Royal Shakespeare Company actress, began working with autistic children in 2002. Through this work and a desire to bring Shakepeare to children who do not have access to it, she developed the Hunter Heartbeat Method. Through this technique, autistic children are introduced to Shakespeare through the use of games and the rhythm of the iambic pentameter.

4th Wall Theatre Company Presents First Annual Up Close Cocktails Benefit

4th Wall Theatre Company (formerly Stark Naked Theatre Company) is excited to announce its First Annual Up Close Cocktails Benefit, hosted by Trish Rigdon, Chair of Media Arts at The Art Institute of Houston. Sophie Okonedo to Join Damien Lewis in Edward Albee's THE GOAT, OR WHO IS SYLVIA?

It is announced today that the Tony Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated actor Sophie Okonedo will join Damian Lewis in a new production of Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?  Directed by Ian Rickson, the production will play a strictly limited 12 week season at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 24th March to 24th June 2017.
