Falls & Bockley's 2666 Extends Before World Premiere at Goodman Theatre

Robert Falls' and Seth Bockley's world premiere adaptation of Roberto Bolaño's famed novel, 2666-which has received extraordinary audience enthusiasm during previews and officially opens tomorrow, February 16-has been extended. Four additional performances include March 17, 18 and 19 at 6:30pm and March 20 at 1pm. The 15-member all-Chicago ensemble cast remains unchanged during the added performances.

Mary Beth Fisher to Join Tom Irwin in Steppenwolf's DOMESTICATED

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the complete cast for the Chicago premiere of Domesticated, a provocative dark comedy written and directed by ensemble member and Pulitzer Prize-winner Bruce Norris. The cast features ensemble member Tom Irwin and venerable Chicago actress Mary Beth Fisher as a political couple in the midst of a sex scandal. Irwin has been an ensemble member since 1979, having performed in more than 50 Steppenwolf productions including The Grapes of Wrath and The Seafarer. Fisher, a frequent performer at Goodman Theatre, most recently in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, last performed at Steppenwolf in Dead Man's Cell Phone in 2008. Completing the Domesticated cast are Emily Chang, Esteban Andres Cruz, Meighan Gerachis, Rae Gray, Beth Lacke, Millie Langford, Melanie Neilan, Meg Thalken and Karen Woditsch. Actors Theatre of Louisville's Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein announce that the theatre is the recipient of a major grant awarded from The Roy Cockrum Foundation in support of the theatre's prestigious Apprentice/Intern Company. The newest Powerball Jackpot winner is Roy Cockrum from Knoxville. Officials state that this $259 million ticket is the largest jackpot ever won in Tennessee. However, according to Associated Press, Cockrum doesn't plan to keep it for himself. Instead, he plans to donate it to performing arts organizations.
