Photos and Video: Meet the Full Cast of MTC's OUTSIDE MULLINGAR

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) will present Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming world premiere of Outside Mullingar, the new play by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner John Patrick Shanley, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes. OUTSIDE MULLINGAR will run at MTC's Samuel J. FriedmanTheatre (261 West 47th Street) with previews beginning Friday, January 3, 2014 for a Thursday, January 23, 2014 opening night. The cast will feature Tony Award winner Brian F. O'Byrne, Emmy Award winner Debra Messing, Peter Maloney, and Dearbhla Molloy. Scroll down to learn more about the cast!

Photo Flash: Meet the Full Cast of Roundabout's MACHINAL

Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Machinal, starring Rebecca Hall, written by Sophie Treadwell and directed by Lyndsey Turner, began previews on December 20, 2013 ahead of an official opening on January 16, 2014 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway. The Adobe Theater to Open Hugh Whitemore's PACK OF LIES, 1/10

Hugh Whitemore's play, Pack of Lies, opening at The Adobe Theater on January 10th. Experienced director Joann Danella has chosen this tense drama, based on real events, to launch our 2014 season. She has previously directed 14 shows at The Adobe ranging from comedy (Belles, The Odd Couple) to serious (Proof, The Day They Shot John Lennon) to downright scary (Scotland Road), and has also worked at other local theaters for 15 years. "This play," she says, "will entertain and raise questions about the effect on ordinary people of national security issues, but also matters of personal loyalty, friendship and betrayal."

Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch Set for A SWINGING BIRDLAND CHRISTMAS, Now thru 12/25

Tickets are now on sale for the fourth annual 'A Swinging Birdland Christmas' celebration at Birdland Jazz Club. To celebrate the holidays, Birdland regulars Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch will perform swinging arrangements of beloved seasonal specials like 'Christmas Waltz,' Kay Thompson's 'Holiday Season,' 'Sleigh Ride,' and 'I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm' among other favorites. The singers will be joined by Steve Doyle on bass and Carmen Intorre on drums.

Last night, December 19, Town Hall overflowed with the musical joys of the season when three extraordinary talents, Leslie Uggams, Marilyn Maye and Christine Andreas took the stage for Holiday Belles. These award-winning singers brought their unique and diverse talents to the celebration, performing songs from the musical theater and the American Songbook, as well as holiday favorites. The concert, conceived and directed by Michael Bush, featured each singer performing her own individual set, and then brought them together for a very merry finale of holiday melodies. Full Lineup Announced for 30A SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL in Florida

The 30A SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL has announced the full line-up for the January 17, 18 and 19, 2014event set to take place at venues along northwest Florida's scenic Highway 30A and the resort neighborhoods of South Walton. The 5th annual celebration will feature performances from such esteemed artists as Kristian Bush (Sugarland), Loudon Wainwright III, Ani DiFranco, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Richard Thompson, Shawn Mullins, John Oates, Jerry Douglas, Rusty Young (Poco), Jonathon Edwards, Jesse Harris, Craig Fuller (Pure Prairie League), John Gorka, Mary Gauthier, James McMurtry, Bob Schneider, Glenn Phillips Band, Matthew Sweet, Jeffrey Steele, Jim Lauderdale, Jimbo Mathus (Squirrel Nut Zippers) and Tinsley Ellis.

The Oakland East Bay Symphony Presents World Premiere of Mary Fineman's Song Cycle, IT'S ABOUT LOVE, 2/21

Karen Mason to Bring CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS to Davenport's, 12/20-22

Haul out the holly and break out the Christmas decorations! Broadway's award-winning Karen Mason, from the smash hit musicals Mamma Mia, Hairspay!, Sunset Boulevard and most recently Wonderland will make a special return appearance to her hometown with her holiday show "Christmas, Christmas, Christmas." The show will feature a mixture of holiday standards, light seasonal fare to the more traditional Christmas songs performed in Mason's distinctive style that will even put Scrooge in the holiday spirit. This marks Karen's return to her hometown, which began as a holiday tradition when she was a mainstay on the Chicago nightclub circuit in the late 1970's and early 80s with her longtime musical collaborator Brian Lasser, before heading off for stardom in New York and Broadway.

Harry Bicket and The English Concert to Perform Handel's THEODORA at Carnegie Hall, 2/2

On Sunday, February 2, at 2:00 p.m., Harry Bicket conducts Handel's oratorio, Theodora, in concert at Carnegie Hall with acclaimed baroque orchestra The English Concert. In this concert production of Handel's second-to-last oratorio, celebrated countertenor David Daniels performs the role of Didymus opposite soprano Dorothea Roschmann (Theodora), leading a renowned cast including mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly (Irene), tenor Andrew Kennedy (Septimus), and bass-baritone Neal Davies (Valens), and The Choir of Trinity Wall Street led by Music Director Julian Wachner. Benjamin Sosland of The Juilliard School leads a pre-concert talk at 1:00 p.m. This concert marks the second year of multi-year Handel project by Harry Bicket, The English Concert and Carnegie Hall, following last February's Radimisto in which David Daniels sang the title role.

Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab to Present Rosemary Loar's WATER FROM THE MOON at Snapple Theatre, 1/16

The not-for-profit musical theater development group Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab (formerly Musical Mondays Theatre Lab) has announced that the third presentation of its 2013-2014 season is the new musical, WATER FROM THE MOON, written by MAC Award Winning Cabaret Performer Rosemary Loar and her husband Robert W. Atwood. In fall 2011, MMTL presented the Loar/Atwood musical Spoolie Girl, which was subsequently nominated for 11 'Best of the Fest' awards at the 2012 Midtown International Theatre Festival, including winning the award for 'Outstanding Music and Lyrics' and a nomination for 'Best Production of a Musical.'

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel this month with their evening of swinging standards. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. During their November run at Bemelmans, the duo received critical acclaim, and made news when rock legend Bono joined them in an impromptu performance. Celebrate the Holidays with Festive, Fine Dining at Morello

Nothing brings family and friends together like the warmth of Italian tradition and great food. On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve - two of the most anticipated holidays of the year - Morello Executive Chef Kevin Garcia will offer holiday-inspired special menus, to accompany his popular a la carte menu. Morello will offer a traditional Italian 'Feast of Seven Fishes,' on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), followed by exquisite a la carte specials for New Year's Eve (Dec. 31).
