Thirty years ago, THE CAPITOL STEPS began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. According to The New York Times, comedian and impressionist Rich Little's 'Jimmy Stewart & Friends', currently running at LVH, the Last Vegas Hotel & Casino, is aiming for Broadway. At LVH, the production is billed as a 'pre-Broadway debut', and the Times reports Little is in talks with backers.

Today at the Television Critics Association meeting, PBS announced actor Benjamin Bratt will narrate LATINO AMERICANS, a landmark three-part, six-hour documentary series that is set to air nationally on PBS in the fall of 2013. It is the first major documentary series for television to chronicle the rich and varied history and experiences of Latinos, who have helped shape the United States over the last 500-plus years and have become, with more than 50 million people, the largest minority group in the U.S.
