Playwright Ronald Harwood, author of such Broadway plays as The Dresser and Taking Sides, has been tapped to write a Martin Luther King Jr. film to begin production once finished. DreamWorks Studios will produce the film alongside acclaimed director Steven Speilberg.

To coincide with their Autumn tour of Kes, The Touring Consortium is pleased to announce that Matthew Kelly will join Annabel Arden, Bryony Lavery, Paul Miller and Don Warrington, the Consortium's Artistic Panel, who with Producer Jenny King, are dedicated to satisfying a venue driven need for quality drama tailored to large theatre venues.
The finalists for 2009 HUMANITAS Prize were announced August 17 by John Wells, HUMANITAS Prize President. A total of $95,000 in prize money will be handed out at the annual luncheon on September 17th in the Crystal Ballroom at The Beverly Hills Hotel.

The International Press Academy has announced the nominees for the 13th Annual Satellite Awards. The Satellite Awards are an annual award given by the International Press Academy. The awards were originally known as the Golden Satellite Awards.
The awards, given by the Intl. Press Academy, will take place Dec. 14 at Century City's InterContinental Hotel.
Rupert Goold directs Michael Gambon, David Bradley, David Walliams and Nick Dunning in Harold Pinter's No Man's Land, at the Duke of York's Theatre. The production is currently booking until 3 January 2009. A Gate Theatre, Dublin production, No Man's Land is presented by Sonia Friedman Productions and Michael Colgan, with design by Giles Cadle, lighting by Neil Austin and sound and music by Adam Cork. Goold's production transfers to London following its opening at the Gate Theatre, Dublin in August.
