Museum of the Moving Image, working with a longtime Museum member, will present a rare big-screen showing of the 2007 Western The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, starring Brad Pitt, Casey Affleck, Sam Rockwell, and Sam Shepard, with director Andrew Dominik in person.

According to Deadline, NOT FADE AWAY's John Magaro has signed on to join Jack O'Connell and Garrett Hedlund in Angelina Jolie's upcoming film UNBROKEN.

Based on The New York Times bestselling book 'Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption' by Laura Hillenbrand ('Seabiscuit: An American Legend'), Unbroken is set to begin production later this month. Jolie, who is joined on the project by fellow producers Matthew Baer (City by the Sea) and Erwin Stoff (The Day the Earth Stood Still), has been a fierce champion of bringing this incredible story of Louis 'Louie' Zamperini's bravery and heroism to the big screen. Joining the behind-the-scenes crew are an accomplished team, led by ten-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer Roger Deakins (Skyfall), who comes aboard as director of photography, and Jon Hutman (In the Land of Blood and Honey), who reteams with Jolie as the film's production designer.

Universal Pictures today announced that UNBROKEN, the new film directed by Angelina Jolie, will be released in North American theaters on December 25, 2014.

The Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2012 will be presented tonight, notoriously dubbed as 'Oscar Sunday,' at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide. Principal photography is underway on location in Georgia for Alcon Entertainment's "Prisoners," a Warner Bros. Pictures' release starring Oscar nominees Hugh Jackman ("Les Miserables") and Jake Gyllenhaal ("Brokeback Mountain"), under the direction of Denis Villeneuve, who helmed the Oscar-nominated foreign language film "Incendies."

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) has announced the nominees for the 18th annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards. The winners will be announced live at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards ceremony on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. The show will broadcast live on The CW Network at 8:00 PM ET/PT.

The Boston, New York and Los Angeles Film Critics Awards were announced over the weekend. Among the big winners was Kathryn Bigelow's ZERO DARK THIRTY, a thriller which recounts the capture and killing of Osama bin Laden.
