The award winning Arvada Center will open its 2012- 2013 season with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels directed by Rod A. Lansberry tonight, September 11 running through September 30 in the Main Stage Theater. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is written by Jeffrey Lane with music and lyrics by David Yazbek. Performances are Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30 pm, Wednesday at 1pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Preview performances are September 7 - 9. Moderated talkbacks with the cast are offered on Friday, September 21 after 7:30 pm show and Wednesday, September 26 after 1:00 pm show. Arvada Center Wins Top Honor at 2012 Henry Awards

The Arvada Center came away with the top honor last night, Monday July 16 at the 7th Annual Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Awards, a local celebration of the theatre community. The event, attended by 500 theatre supporters was held at the L2 Arts and Culture Center in Denver.

The Arvada Center will hold auditions for the musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Arvada Center, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd., June 28 and 29; and in New York City, June 9 -11. The Arvada Center in collaboration with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival (CSF) opens William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, or What You Will, a Comedy tonight, May 1, 2012. Colorado Shakespeare Festival's Producing Artistic Director, Philip C. Sneed, is directing the show. Twelfth Night will run in the intimate 220 seat Black Box Theater tonight, May 1 - 27. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30pm, Wednesday at 1:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00pm. Talkbacks will be offered Friday, May 11 after the 7:30pm show and Wednesday, May 16 after the 1:00pm show. Ticket prices range from $25 (previews) - $47 for prime seating. Legally Blonde will be directed by Gavin Mayer, with musical direction by David Nehls and choreography by Kitty Skillman Hilsabeck. The Arvada Center Artistic Producer is Rod A. Lansberry.

Arvada Center Adds Two Performances to THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

Due to the unexpected weather cancellation of yesterday's performance and audience demand, Arvada Center Artistic Producer, Rod A. Lansberry has announced the addition of two Sunday evening shows for The Importance of Being Earnest. The additional shows are Sunday, February 12 at 7:30pm and Sunday, February 19 at 7:30pm. The latter will be the final performance of the run.
