Hubbard Street Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton and Terence Marling, Director of Hubbard Street 2 (HS2), encourage early-career and professional dancers, male and female, to audition for 2014-15 season contracts with Hubbard Street's main company and HS2.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, under the artistic leadership of Glenn Edgerton, presents four hometown engagements in its 2013-14 season, all at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance (205 East Randolph Drive, Chicago), plus domestic and international touring dates. Terence Marling, Director of Hubbard Street 2 (HS2) and Hubbard Street Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton announce today the two winners of the 14th annual National Choreographic Competition (NCC), a program of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's Choreographic Development Initiative. 2013 winners Loni Landon of New York City and Alex Soares of São Paulo, Brazil, will each create an original work in fall 2013 while in residence at Chicago's Hubbard Street Dance Center. Both new works receive their world premieres in early 2014, at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts in Bloomington, Illinois.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton announce three artists joining the organization's 18-member performing company: Emilie Leriche, Andrew Murdock and Bryna Pascoe. “Each is highly accomplished in both classical and contemporary dance,” says Edgerton, “and uniquely suited for Hubbard Street's active repertoire of works by major international choreographers.” All are scheduled to perform during the company's Fall Series, opening Season 36 with new works by Robyn Mineko Williams and Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo, plus repertoire by Mats Ek and Ohad Naharin, October 10–13, 2013 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance.

Northrop at the University of Minnesota announces single tickets go on-sale today, August 5 for its 2013-14 Northrop Season, which features world-class dance, including copresentations with The O'Shaughnessy at St. Catherine University's Women of Substance and Walker Art Center. Single tickets will be sold through each venue. Series packages continue to be on sale through Northrop.

The highly acclaimed contemporary dance companies Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Hubbard Street 2 return to MCA Stage for the second danc(e)volve: New Works Festival. They perform new works created by rising choreographers within the company and former main company member Robyn Mineko Williams. The two-week long festival features seven new works under consideration to become a part of Hubbard Street's active repertoire.

Now celebrating its 35th year, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago will be presented by The Joyce Theater Foundation for two weeks this spring, May 14-26. For this return to The Joyce, the dancers of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago will offer two programs featuring choreography by Aszure Barton, Mats Ek and Ohad Naharin, as well as a Joyce-commissioned work by former Hubbard Street dancer Robyn Mineko Williams.
