Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Releases Tickets to 2014-15 Season Performances, 8/25

CHICAGO – Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton are excited to release single tickets to the renowned contemporary company's 2014–15 season performances in Chicago, on August 25, 2014 at 10am. All remaining seats to the company's performances at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago's Edlis Neeson Theater will be available online at hubbardstreetdance.com or by phone to the Hubbard Street Ticket Office at 312-850-9744. (Season 37 subscriptions, which include tickets to all four 2014–15 season engagements, went on sale May 1, 2014 and remain available by phone or online at hubbardstreetdance.com/subscribe.) Season 37 single tickets start at just $25; the performance schedule is as follows:

VISCERAL DANCE CHICAGO's Sophomore Season to Feature Brian Enos, Harrison McEldowney, Banning Boulding & More

CHICAGO-AUGUST 5, 2014-Visceral Dance Chicago is Chicago's newest contemporary dance company dedicated to presenting intriguing, innovative contemporary dance from diverse choreographic voices. Following its highly celebrated inaugural season, Visceral will grow its repertoire in 2014-2015 with world premieres by Brian Enos, Harrison McEldowney, and Banning Boulding. Visceral will also have the great honor of presenting and performing a company premiere by Ohad Naharin. Artistic Director Nick Pupillo will create two new works: a solo work with cellist Desiree Miller and a full company piece.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton are pleased to announce the main company's 2014-15 season performances in Chicago, to include two weeks spotlighting a diverse trio of Princess Grace Award-winning choreographers, Hubbard Street's first performances of choreography by acclaimed artist Crystal Pite, and a celebration of Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, under the artistic leadership of Glenn Edgerton, presents four hometown engagements in its 2013-14 season, all at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance (205 East Randolph Drive, Chicago), plus domestic and international touring dates. Loni Landon and Alex Soares Win Hubbard Street National Choreographic Competition

Terence Marling, Director of Hubbard Street 2 (HS2) and Hubbard Street Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton announce today the two winners of the 14th annual National Choreographic Competition (NCC), a program of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's Choreographic Development Initiative. 2013 winners Loni Landon of New York City and Alex Soares of São Paulo, Brazil, will each create an original work in fall 2013 while in residence at Chicago's Hubbard Street Dance Center. Both new works receive their world premieres in early 2014, at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts in Bloomington, Illinois.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton announce three artists joining the organization's 18-member performing company: Emilie Leriche, Andrew Murdock and Bryna Pascoe. “Each is highly accomplished in both classical and contemporary dance,” says Edgerton, “and uniquely suited for Hubbard Street's active repertoire of works by major international choreographers.” All are scheduled to perform during the company's Fall Series, opening Season 36 with new works by Robyn Mineko Williams and Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo, plus repertoire by Mats Ek and Ohad Naharin, October 10–13, 2013 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance.

Tickets on Sale Today for Northrop Theatre's 2013-14 Dance Season

Northrop at the University of Minnesota announces single tickets go on-sale today, August 5 for its 2013-14 Northrop Season, which features world-class dance, including copresentations with The O'Shaughnessy at St. Catherine University's Women of Substance and Walker Art Center. Single tickets will be sold through each venue. Series packages continue to be on sale through Northrop.
