RUINED Original Cast and Crew Reunites for Intiman Production, 7/9

Lynn Nottage's Ruined, a powerful portrayal of the triumph of the human spirit in a war-torn country, will be co-produced this season by Intiman Theatre (opening July 9, 2010) and the Geffen Playhouse (opening September 15, 2010), the only two theatres in the country to host original cast members and the design team of director Kate Whoriskey's acclaimed world-premiere production.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company will end its run of The Brother/Sister Plays: In the Red and Brown Water, The Brothers Size and Marcus; Or the Secret of Sweet by Tarell Alvin McCraney, directed by ensemble member Tina Landau on May 23, 2010 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted.

Goodman Theater Hosts MICHAEL MERRITT DESIGN AWARDS 5/3

The 17th Annual Merritt Award for Excellence in Design and Collaboration program, posthumously honoring and celebrating the work of lighting and set designer Michael Philippi (Desire Under the Elms, Death of a Salesman), 'an esteemed longtime collaborator and friend', will take place on Monday, May 3, at the Goodman Theatre.

MCC Theater Delays Family Week Official Press Opening To 5/4

MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that they are delaying the official press opening of Beth Henley's Family Week, directed by Jonathan Demme by one week. The production will now officially open on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
