Last night, actress Rita Wilson made her triumphant return to the hit Broadway comedy Fish In the Dark, following a one month of medical leave. In April, the actress revealed the news that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and had undergone a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Now that she's cancer-free and back onstage, Wilson told the Times, 'It felt surreal in the sense that all these changes had happened, and yet it felt like it was yesterday.'
The New Group has announced complete casting for the world premiere production of The Spoils, a new play written by and featuring Jesse Eisenberg, directed by Scott Elliott. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Rita Wilson has temporarily stepped out of Broadway's FISH IN THE DARK for a temporary medical leave. In her absence, the role of 'Brenda' is being played by Glenne Headly.
Wilson is set to return to the production on May 5, 2015.
