Producer Daryl Roth announces that following a sold out developmental run last spring, THE DIVINE SISTER, the new comedy written by and starring Charles Busch, directed by Carl Andress, will transfer to the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street) featuring the entire original company: Alison Fraser, Amy Rutberg, Jennifer Van Dyck, Jonathan Walker, and Julie Halston.

Last night, Monday June 21, the Kleban Foundation hosted a cocktail reception honoring the winners of the 20th Annual Kleban Awards for the most promising musical theater lyricist and librettist. 2010 Kleban Award winners are Peter Mills (the most promising musical theater lyricist) and Barry Wyner (the most promising musical theater librettist). McCarter Theatre has announced the complete casting and creative team for the American premiere of Take Flight, a new musical by Richard Maltby Jr, David Shire and John Weidman that blends fact and fiction to tell the interweaving stories of three pioneers of aeronautics: the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart.

On Monday, May 24, the National Arts Club hosted a pre-release celebration party for Mickey Rapkin's 'Theater Geek.' 'Theater Geek' tells the story of Stagedoor Manor's rich history and amazing track record for producing the next generation of stars. 'Theater Geek,' penned by GQ Senior Editor and author of 'Pitch Perfect,' is published by Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, Inc. and will be released June 1, 2010.

Act II Playhouse will end its run of the intimate new musical The Story of My Life, on May 23 and written by Neil Bartram (music and lyrics) and Brian Hill (book). Directed by Bud Martin, The Story of My Life stars Tony Braithwaite and Jim Stanek as lifelong best friends.

The American premiere of Take Flight, a new musical by David Shire, Richard Maltby, Jr. and John Weidman, continues at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ. Previews began April 30 and performances run through June 6. The production officially opened May 13.
