Works & Process at the Guggenheim Announces Spring 2013 Season

Works & Process at the Guggenheim has announced its spring 2013 season. Since 1984, the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading creators and performers. Each intimate, 80-minute performance uniquely combines artistic creation and stimulating conversation and takes place in the Guggenheim's Frank Lloyd Wright-designed, 285-seat Peter B. Lewis Theater, where new reserved seating is now offered. A reception for the audience and artists follows most programs. Described by the New York Times as "a popular series devoted to shedding light on the creative process," Works & Process is produced by founder Mary Sharp Cronson. USA will celebrate a'Royal' holiday wedding - that is, the long planned nuptials of Evan (Paulo Costanzo) and Paige (Brooke D'Orsay) - in a special ROYAL PAINS two-hour movie event 'Off-Season Greetings,' featuring revealing flashbacks, an unexpected snowstorm and a reunion of old friends. Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Beth Henley's 100-proof comedy THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST, starring film and television actress Amber Tamblyn and directed by Tony Award winner Judith Ivey, will bow on Broadway in the spring of 2013. THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST marks Ms. Tamblyn's Broadway debut and Ms. Ivey's Broadway debut as director, and is produced by HOP Theatricals. Broadway theater and dates to be announced.

FX Renews WILFRED for Third Season

FX has picked up its acclaimed comedy series Wiflred for a third-season order of 13 episodes, it was announced today by Nick Grad, Executive Vice President of Original Programming for FX. Production of season three begins next spring and is slated to debut in June of 2013.
