On Saturday, April 24, nearly 700 business and arts leaders attended the Arts Council's 13th Annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County at the Jim Rous Theatre in Columbia, Maryland. This year's annual benefit gala raised over $77,000 and an additional $80,000 in donated goods and services for the arts in Howard County.

An informal read-through of the first act of a new musical, Tangled Webs, took place on Friday December 12th, in Manhattan. The reading starred Mary Poppins star Rebecca Luker. The musical is about an elegant Park Avenue woman (played in the read-through by Rebecca Luker) who's lost her husband and starts her life over by going to work at a producer's office. She discovers a young writer's work that she feels passionate about, and she will stop at nothing to get the show to the Broadway stage.
Rick Hilsabeck (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Kate Fisher (Les Mis), and Scott Barnhardt (Big River), will read 'I Love You Madam President' for this year's New York Musical Theatre Festival. The show also features the talents of Jerry Coyle (Room Service), Ric Ryder (Blood Brothers), Christine Rowan and Elizabeth Polito (Beauty and the Beast) and is stage managed by Jessica Balvanz.
