Internationally recognized pop icon Boy George's biographical musical TABOO has had a particularly colorful history considering its original hit West End production, troubled and tumultuous 2003 Broadway bow and successful 2012 Brixton remounting and the show is now set for a splashy live New York re-evaluation and celebration this February.

Bergen County Players continues its "From Page to Stage" season with Mamet's Speed-the-Plow, a no-holds-barred look at the cutthroat world of the Hollywood film industry, over four weekends beginning Saturday, January 11th and concluding Saturday, February 1st. Performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell, Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 pm and Sunday performances are at 2 pm. Almost every week hereafter, more guest stars will be announced, and soon after the holidays the winners, who will perform to show why they were chosen -- will finally be announced to the public. The winners will not make acceptance speeches because the Nightlife Awards is the only All-Performance Award Show.

It's an exciting holiday theatre season in Toronto, with lots of great options for children and grown ups alike! One option which is bound to appeal to people of all ages is the classic tale of ANNIE - being presented by Young People's Theatre and starring newcomer Jenny Weisz in the iconic role. You would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't know the story of Annie (or it's timeless tunes such as 'Tomorrow', 'Hard Knock Life' and 'Maybe') but it's been a long time since Toronto had a professional production on stage in the city. In the iconic role is newcomer Jenny Weisz, and 'Annie' marks her very first professional gig after graduating from Theatre Sheridan this past year. BWW sat down to talk with her about playing the famous little redheaded girl, reaching her dream of performing with YPT and her musical theatre influence.

Screencrush.com reports that Broadway vet Raul Esparza will continue his recurring role on the upcoming second season of NBC's HANNIBAL. The new season is scheduled to kick off in 2014.
