The Hawai'i return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 7:30pm at the Blaisdell Concert Hall for a limited engagement of eight weeks through March 9, 2014. In Hawai'i, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30pm, Friday evenings at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm and Sundays at 1pm and 6:30pm. There will also be a 2pm matinee performance on Friday, March 7.

The Los Angeles return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Friday, November 22, 2013 at 8pm at the Hollywood Pantages for a limited eight-week engagement through January 12, 2014. In Dallas, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Sunday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 p.m. There will be a 1:30 p.m. matinee performance on Friday, October 18. The award-winning musical returns to Dallas following a six-week sold-out premiere engagement in 2002 and a successful five-week engagement in 2007 at the Music Hall.

The Pittsburgh return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Friday, September 6 at 8:00 p.m., at the Benedum Center, for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, September 29, 2013. 'Sales for Pittsburgh's third return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING are brisk, but tickets can still be purchased, with weeknights having the best availability. By the end of the four-week, 32-performance run of the blockbuster engagement, we expect to host over 80,000 people at the Benedum Center-many who will be dining out, shopping, and booking hotel stays. All together, the economic impact for Downtown Pittsburgh and the Cultural District is expected to be significant,' comments Marc Fleming, Vice President of Marketing and Communications-Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

In Tulsa, THE LION KING will play Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday* evenings at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m., Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m., Sunday matinees at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. with additional performances on Monday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, July 5 at 1:00 p.m. *There will be no performances on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. The show's six-week premiere engagement in 2006 played a sold-out run at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

The Nashville return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, June 2. The show's six-week premiere engagement in 2006 played a sold-out run at TPAC.

The Fox Cities' return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, May 5. The production performed two preview performances on Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 10.

Disney's The Lion King opened at Omaha's Orpheum Theatre this past week and is playing through April 7th, 2013. San Francisco's Orpheum Theatre plays host to Disney's 'The Lion King' now through January 13, 2013. I put that out there right away because if you're one for keeping a bucket list of must-see things to do and see before you 'exit stage left' then this show is surely one for the list.
