The Douglas Morrisson Theatre (DMT) proudly announces a new season of five award-winning plays, 'JOURNEYS.'

Tony-Nominated Director Randal Myler and multi-talented Music Director Dan Wheetman return to Lone Tree Arts Center (LTAC) to create a new vision for Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn after setting the bar high with Hank Williams: Lost Highway last spring and John Denver Holiday Concert in 2012. Returning to the roots of Mark Twain's classic American folktale, this production of Big River focuses on the talent and voices of the cast as they each become storytellers.

Producing Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside announces the American Blues Theater's Season 29 'Lost & Sound' at the 'Blue Bash,' their annual fundraiser, Thursday, Feb. 27 from 5:30 - 9 p.m., at the office of Seyfarth Shaw, Suite 2400, 131 S. Yesterday Artistic Director Mark Clements announced Milwaukee Repertory Theater's 2014/15 Season. 'Next season will offer strong stories that are substantive pieces of theater that are both enlightening and entertaining,' said Clements. 'The season includes two exciting world premieres, after all the terrible things I do and Five Presidents. We will also continue the tradition that I started upon my arrival by including a musical on our main stage - the first production in the Quadracci Powerhouse will be the award-winning musical, The Color Purple. Audiences responded so enthusiastically to last year's production of Ragtime, I believe they are in for another treat with The Color Purple.'

An audience of theatre enthusiasts waited in anticipation at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts tonight, when Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Managing Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, unveiled the thrilling line-up for its 2014-2015 season. Opening with a groundbreaking World Premiere developed at last season's New Works Festival, the line-up will also give Bay Area audiences their first look at the 2012 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, the West Coast premiere of the newest work by Rajiv Joseph (The North Pool), a chilling Sondheim revival, a rollicking bluegrass musical, and an elegant Noel Coward confection. Also announced is the company's holiday production, a five-time Tony Award-winning recent Broadway hit.

The American National Theatre (ANT) (Sean Cullen, Founder and Producing Artistic Director, THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE!, NBC, 2013, GOLDEN BOY, BELASCO, 2013, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, HBO, 2013) will host "The ANT, Made & Played in America" on Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Algonquin Hotel (59 West 44th St., New York, NY).

Looks like The Roundabout Theatre Company is looking to 'play ball!' following a reading last week of a new play titled STEINBRENNER!, adapted from sportswriter Bill Madden's 2010 book, 'Steinbrenner: The Last Lion of Baseball,' according to the New York Post's Michael Riedel.
