It's been rumored since early in the new production's run -- and now it's official! Original star John Cameron Mitchell will return to the role he co-created with composer/lyricist Stephen Trask in their musical Hedwig and The Angry Inch, which they debuted in the 1998 hit Off-Broadway production. Mitchell will step into the role on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre starting Wednesday, January 21 for a strictly limited eight week engagement. Mitchell will join co-star and Tony Award winner Lena Hall who continues with the production as Yitzhak.

The Joyce Theater Foundation will welcome back the riotously hilarious and beautifully brilliant Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo for its biennial three-week NYC holiday engagement, this year from December 16, 2014 – January 6, 2015. The season will feature two different programs including some of the troupe's most popular works, plus the New York premiere of excerpts from La Naïade et Le Pêcheur, based on the original staging by Pyotr Gusev. Tickets range in price from $10-$59 ($26-$44 for Joyce Theater members), and can be purchased through JoyceCharge at 212-242-0800 or via the internet at www.joyce.org. The Joyce Theater is located at 175 Eighth Avenue at 19th Street.

Golden Globe and Drama Desk Award winner Michael C. Hall has extended his limited engagement in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Hall will play his final performance in the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival on Sunday, January 18. Casting for the next Hedwig will be announced in the coming weeks.

Cirque du Soleil's Big Top Arrives in San Francisco

Cirque du Soleil has arrived in San Francisco and is in complete set-up mode in preparation for the November 14th U.S. premiere of its awe-inspiring production KURIOS - Cabinet of Curiosities, written and directed by Michel Laprise. Cirque's trademark blue-and-yellow Big Top was raised today by a team of approximately 50 men and women, who worked for several hours to pound 1,200 pegs, hoist more than 100 support poles, unfurl the canvas, and finally raise the roof on the acrobatic and theatrical experience that is KURIOS.

National Theatre Live Unveils OF MICE AND MEN Broadcast App

To accompany Of Mice And Men's international screening tomorrow, November 6, National Theatre Live has developed a digital program for iPad, with a version for iPhone to follow shortly. Audiences will be able to go behind the scenes with interviews, short-films, production photographs, a timeline of the great depression, an exclusive article by James Franco as well as video interviews with cast and director. The app is available internationally beginning Thursday, November 6 for $6.99.
