B Street Theatre's Family Series, Northern California's only fully professional, resident theatre for children, is pleased to present the World Premiere of ANANSI THE SPIDER, running October 3 - November 8, 2015.

LESSER AMERICA announces the world premiere of THE BACHELORS by Caroline V. McGraw (The Vaults), directed by Portia Kreiger (Fun Home Associate Director, Baby Screams Miracle) at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place, NYC) with an opening night on November 7th for a limited run through November 29th, 2015.

Brand new play incubator Brooklyn Yard presents a showcase production of STORM, STILL, a three-person adaptation of King Lear, by playwright Gabrielle Reisman, in Reisman's own backyard in south Bushwick this fall.

Commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, Horniman's Choice brings together four plays by the leading figures of the 'Manchester School' of playwrights - Harold Brighouse, Stanley Houghton and Allan Monkhouse, all originally championed by Annie Horniman, owner of Gaiety Theatre, Manchester, the first regional repertory theatre in Britain. Horniman's Choice runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 27 September 2015 (Press Night: Monday, 28 September 2015 at 7.30pm).

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.  This Thursday, September 3rd, Broadway Sessions returns from summer hiatus with cast members from Something Rotten and more.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's acclaimed production of Shakespeare's THE MERCHANT OF VENICE will play in select movie houses across North America, beginning August 19. The production, which opened to rave reviews at the RSC's home in Stratford-upon-Avon, was filmed for 'Live from Stratford-upon-Avon,' the RSC program that screens the world's greatest classical theatre company from Shakespeare's home town around the world through a continued partnership with Picturehouse Entertainment.

It seemed appropriate that a cabaret show titled Confessions of a Native New Yorker would begin with the quintessential “call to all dreamers” song “Let The River Run” by native New Yorker Carly Simon. Wearing an elegant black and gold brocade dress--the very personification of class--Helen Glassman took the Don't Tell Mama stage by storm in performing her debut show on June 28. Glassman, a native New Yorker, chronicles her life in music to the beat of “the city that never sleeps.” Beginning by pointing out the ironic love/hate challenges of existing in the Big Apple, Glassman croons the wonderfully hip Portia Nelson classic “Confessions of a Native New Yorker,” showing us a delightfully flippant comic side that serves her well throughout the evening.

The cast for the world premiere production of F*CK THE POLAR BEARS by Tanya Ronder is: Jon Foster, Salome R Gunnarsdottir, Susan Stanley and Andrew Whipp. The production, directed by Caroline Byrne, previews from 11 September (press night 16 September).

Now, Ghostlight Records release of the cheerful SOMETHING ROTTEN! (Original Broadway Cast Recording) shares the merriment with the world.

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Renee Blinkwolt, Managing Director) announces The Ars Nova Revolution, celebrating Ars Nova All Stars Jill Furman, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda, from Freestyle Love Supreme (Ars Nova, 2004) to Hamilton (Broadway, 2015). This epic night of revelry benefiting Ars Nova's artist community, featuring performances by cast members of Hamilton and Freestyle Love Supreme, takes place Monday, September 21 at 6:30pm at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).
