Concertmaster Madeline Adkins will lead the Utah Symphony and perform as soloist as part of the Deer Valley Music Festival's Chamber Concert series at St. Mary's Church in Park City. This program features three early symphonies with some of the most iconic symphonic literature ever written, including selections from "Ancient Airs and Dances: Suite III" by Respighi, "Symphony No. 29" by Mozart, and "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi. Nancy Manocherian's the cell presents the Off-Broadway Premiere of BASTARD JONES, a rock musical comedy based on Henry Fielding's bawdy 18th-century novel, The History of Tom Jones. With book, lyrics, & direction by Marc Acito (Broadway's Allegiance) and music & lyrics by Amy Engelhardt (Grammy nominees The Bobs), performances began June 14 at the cell. The opening is slated for tonight, June 22.

AVA Digital Awards announced winners for the 2017 international awards competition. There were about 2,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and 16 other countries. Media personality Shefik, a native of New York, has won a total of five awards in the competition for his nationally-syndicated terrestrial radio show, 'Shefik presents Invocation'.

Syracuse Stage ends its season with the jukebox musical Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash. The musical, created by Richard Maltby Jr. and conceived by William Meade with orchestrations by Steven Bishop and Jeff Lisenby, features the familiar and well-loved music of Johnny Cash.
