BASTARD JONES, a rock musical comedy opening tonight June 22nd at nancy manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), has raised $10,000 for Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Fund, dedicated to ending homelessness of LGBTQ youth.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell presents the Off-Broadway Premiere of BASTARD JONES, a rock musical comedy based on Henry Fielding's bawdy 18th-century novel, The History of Tom Jones. With book, lyrics, & direction by Marc Acito (Broadway's Allegiance) and music & lyrics by Amy Engelhardt (Grammy nominees The Bobs), performances began June 14 at the cell. The opening is slated for tonight, June 22.

Concertmaster Madeline Adkins will lead the Utah Symphony and perform as soloist as part of the Deer Valley Music Festival's Chamber Concert series at St. Mary's Church in Park City. This program features three early symphonies with some of the most iconic symphonic literature ever written, including selections from "Ancient Airs and Dances: Suite III" by Respighi, "Symphony No. 29" by Mozart, and "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi. Tickets are $46 for general admission and $15 for youth (ages 8-18) and can be purchased at http://my.usuo.org/single/SelectSeating.aspx?p=18586

An additional lineup of Broadway stars and some of America's finest actors has been announced to perform at the special one-night-only edition of Concert for America.

Hermes Creative Awards announced winners for the 2017 international awards competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of traditional and emerging media.

Today, the Actors' Equity Foundation honored Katrina Lenk for her work in The Band's Visit and Indecent as well as Will Pullen from Sweat with the 2017 Clarence Derwent Award. In addition, the annual Actors' Equity Foundation Award honored union members Barbara Barrie for her work in Broadway's Significant Other and Anthony Chisholm for his work in this past season's riveting Jitney.

AVA Digital Awards announced winners for the 2017 international awards competition. There were about 2,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and 16 other countries. Media personality Shefik, a native of New York, has won a total of five awards in the competition for his nationally-syndicated terrestrial radio show, 'Shefik presents Invocation'.

Syracuse Stage ends its season with the jukebox musical Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash. The musical, created by Richard Maltby Jr. and conceived by William Meade with orchestrations by Steven Bishop and Jeff Lisenby, features the familiar and well-loved music of Johnny Cash. So, expect to hear hits such as “Ring of Fire,” “Get Rhythm,” “Going to Memphis,” “Jackson,” “I Walk the Line,” just to name a few.

A rare event at Fulya Sanat, home of Istanbul State Opera and Ballet's Modern Dance Theater Istanbul (MDTist), is the Mini-Fest, last produced for the stage in 2014, it returned 23-24 May last week with two technique classes, three workshops, a special show and six performances of new choreography.

MCC Theater presents the American Premiere of the play The End of Longing, a new play written by and starring 'Friends' star Matthew Perry in his NYC playwriting and stage acting debuts. Joining Perry is 'Once Upon a Time' and 'House' star Jennifer Morrison alongside stage and television regulars Quincy Dunn-Baker and Sue Jean Kim.
