Broadway's hit musical comedy THE ADDAMS FAMILY welcomes stage and screen star Brooke Shields in the role of Morticia beginning Tuesday, June 28 at the Lunt Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). Two-time Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth will play her final performance in the role on Sunday, June 26. Ms. Shields will play opposite Roger Rees, who stars as Gomez.
Tony Award-winner Gregory Jbara will host the 3rd annual National High School Musical Theater Awards - 'The Jimmy Awards' - on Monday, June 27th at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W 45th St). Presenters include Tony Award-winners Tommy Tune, Harvey Fierstein, Nikki M. James (Book of Mormon) and star of Catch Me If You Can, Aaron Tveit. The awards showcase will feature performances by 50 student participants representing 25 professional theaters across America.
The Pittsburgh CLO orchestra will be featured on stage for this production, allowing for extra seating close to the Benedum Center stage.
The Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater is currently enrolling students entering grades 1-12 for its 2011 Summer Camps.
