Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) kicks off this summer's Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series with the world premiere of Sex Lives of Our Parents, written by Michael Mitnick. Directed by Davis McCallum, Sex Lives of Our Parents will feature Teddy Bergmann (Peter and the Starcatcher), Lisa Emery (Far East), Daniel Jenkins (Mary Poppins), Virginia Kull (Dividing the Estate), Ben Rappaport (NBC's 'Outsourced') and Mark Zeisler (Second Stage Theatre's Eurydice). Previews begin on June 7th and opening night is Wednesday, June 22

Artist Alexander Melamid today announced the creation of a new project, the Art Healing Ministry. In its New York clinic, located at 98 Thompson Street in Soho, Melamid applies his revolutionary method of using art to alleviate major human physiological and psychological afflictions.

Evans, announces the World Premiere of The Outgoing Tide, by Bruce Graham, directed by BJ Jones. The cast features John Mahoney, Rondi Reed and Thomas J. Cox. The Outgoing Tide runs May 12-June 19, 2011 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd. in Skokie. The press opening is Saturday May 21, 2011.

Annually since 1994 the Asolo Rep Guild, a volunteer auxiliary of the theatre, has presented the prestigious Guilder Award to an area high school in recognition of theatrical project excellence. This year, five schools are in the running for the Guilder Award and Certificates of Excellence.

The festival will end on May 1, 2011. Audiences will revel in an array of one-time, only-in-Philadelphia productions by many of the region's top talents. PIFA will feature music, dance, fashion, fine arts, poetry, cuisine, and more-all generously flavored with the essence of Paris, circa 1910-20.

Acclaimed actor-writer Herbert Siguenza (of the famed Chicano/Latino performance troupe Culture Clash) returns to Los Angeles with his first one man show. Siguenza brings his virtuosic writing, acting and painting skills into Picasso's private studio, 'Le Californie' on the coast of France in 1957 for an intimate and revealing weekend into the creative mind and work of one of the most inspiring artists of modern history

The Saint Sebastian Players originally planned to conclude its 30th Anniversary season with Wendy Wasserstein's The Sisters Rosensweig. However, when the rights became unavailable due to a pending Broadway revival, the company selected a play about a different kind of 'sisterhood'-Steel Magnolias, by Robert Harling, which SSP will stage in the round. Performances are April 29-May 22, 2011 at St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, in Chicago.
