When Performance Network Theatre decided to engage in two co-productions for their 30th Anniversary season, an opportunity arose to revive their second stage offerings. With both "God of Carnage" and the upcoming "Dead Man's Shoes" being rehearsed off-site, Performance Network's black box rehearsal hall was wide open for use by a neighboring company, The Penny Seats, and the first show of their second season, Jeffrey Hatcher's "What Corbin Knew." Performances will begin Feb 28 and run through March 14, 2012 at Performance Network.

A delicate costume design by Picasso for Diaghilev's ballet Parade is one of the highlights of the next Impressionist & Modern Art auction on April 4th 2012 at Bonhams, 13 Montpelier Street, Knightsbridge, London. More than 50 works of art of diminutive size by 30 American and European artists working in a variety of media and techniques comprise the installation XS at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. With a title borrowed from the XS size label (for 'extra small') found in women's garments, the installation includes rarely displayed works from the Museum's collection that are usually kept in storage due to their tiny size. The installation, which challenges the adage "bigger is better," is on view in the Lila Acheson Wallace Wing through April 15, 2012.
The Karl and Helen Burger Gallery at Kean University Hosts the exhibition, EMBODYING THE SACRED IN YORUBA ART: SELECTIONS FROM THE NEWARK MUSEUM COLLECTION now through April 18. This exhibition is based on the show Embodying the Sacred in Yoruba Art: Featuring the Bernard and Patricia Wagner Collection, which was jointly organized by the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia, and The Newark Museum in Newark, New Jersey.
The Denver Center Theatre Company announced its lineup of productions for the 2012/13. Artistic Director Kent Thompson continues the company's tradition of presenting new work with two world premieres that were read as part of the 2012 Colorado New Play Summit as well as a family production. From an Alexandre Dumas classic to an August Wilson favorite and from an explosive Broadway hit to a one-man show. Says Kent Thompson, "Although I don't pick seasons based upon a theme, 2012/13 is clearly about love and marriage - the thwarted love of Romeo and Juliet, the comic upset of discovering you've not been legally married for the past 25 years (!), the discovery that your dead husband may have loved another woman, and the hard-fought but lost love of D'Artagnan."
