The world premiere production of HAMILTON, inspired by the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Thomas Kail, concludes its run tonight, May 3, at The Public Theater. The Public Theater just presented a special 40th anniversary tribute to A CHORUS LINE last night, April 16 in honor of the first performance of this legendary musical that premiered in The Public's Newman Theater 40 years ago and went on to make musical theater history. The Public Theater presents the New York premiere of BUZZER, written by Tracey Scott Wilson. BUZZER marks the return of Wilson to The Public following her acclaimed The Good Negro in 2009 and The Story in 2003. Directed by Obie award winner Anne Kauffman, BUZZER will run in The Public's Martinson Theater through Sunday, April 26, with an official opening last night, April 8.

The Skivvies (the undie-rock comedy-pop duo of Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley) just kicked off their monthly residency at 42West with Splashdance- featuring an all-star line up of guest artists from the worlds of Broadway, Television and Film. The first concert took place last night, with guest stars James Carpinello (Rock of Ages), Phillipa Soo (Hamilton, Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812), Adam Kantor (Rent, Next to Normal) Jessica Vosk (The Bridges of Madison County), Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago), Natalie Tenenbaum, Ephraim Sykes (Motown, Newsies, Memphis), Zak Resnick (Piece of my Heart, Mamma Mia!), Robyn Anderson, and many more.

The Public Theater welcomes Tony Award nominee Jonathan Groff to the cast of HAMILTON as 'King George' tonight, March 3. Groff, who performed in The Public's recent revival of Hair as well as The Bacchae and The Singing Forest, is replacing Brian d'Arcy James, who will be starring in Something Rotten on Broadway this spring.
