Mayor Nutter announced June 9th that, due to the generous support of Amway Global, Peter Nero and the Philly Pops will return to celebrate America's birthday in a special 'POPS on Independence' performance in front of Independence Hall on Friday, July 2 at 8:00 p.m. One of Philadelphia's most popular Fourth of July traditions, 'POPS on Independence' features the Voices of The POPS. The concert is sponsored by Amway Global and presented by the National Constitution Center as part of the 2010 Wawa Welcome America! festival.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that Zach Braff, Bobby Cannavale, Sutton Foster, and Ari Graynor will co-star in the world premiere comedy TRUST, written by Paul Weitz, directed by Peter DuBois. Mr. Weitz returns to Second Stage Theatre, where his plays Privilege and Show People premiered in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Directed by Peter DuBois, who staged Second Stage's acclaimed production of Becky Shaw, TRUST will begin previews on Friday, July 23 at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street) and officially open on Thursday, August 12. The production runs through September 5.

Tony Award winner Sutton Foster performed her solo show 'An Evening with Sutton Foster' at the Kirk Douglas Theatre on April 29 and 30. Foster was accompanied by her Musical Director Michael Rafter. Songs for the evening were drawn from her critically-acclaimed debut solo album Wish and from the stage roles that have helped make her famous, such as Thoroughly Modern Millie and The Drowsy Chaperone.
