The Drama League (Executive Director, Gabriel Shanks) has announced the 2013 Drama League Awards Nominees for Distinguished Play, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced at a ceremony hosted by Patina Miller and Michael Urie this morning at Sardi's Restaurant which were streamed live online at www.BroadwayWorld.com.

BIG FISH has its pre-Broadway world premiere at Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph Street) in a limited 5-week engagement opening Friday, April 19, 2013, and playing through Sunday, May 5, 2013. BroadwayWorld brings you just-released production shots below!

Ghostlight Records will present the Original Broadway Cast Recording of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA with a digital release on May 7 and the CD in stores on June 4.

Le French Book, a digital-first publisher specialized in bringing France's top mysteries and thrillers to new readers across the English-speaking world, just signed on another two novels in the Winemaker Detective series by Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noel Balen. The first in the series, Treachery in Bordeaux, is already available. It is both a mystery and a wine novel.

The stars of the hit musical Cinderella -- Laura Osnes (Cinderella) and Santino Fontana (Prince Topher) -- will perform a number from the show live in studio on NBC's the Today Show during the morning program's 8 a.m. hour on Friday, March 22.

The company of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will enter the studio on March 18 to preserve the Original Broadway Cast Recording for Ghostlight Records. The Broadway premiere of the beloved romantic musical - currently running at the Broadway Theater - has been hailed as "Resplendent with a radiant score" by the Wall Street Journal, "Pure Magic" by the Associated Press and "A full-on romantic fantasy" by the New York Post. RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, a new book by Douglas Carter Beane and original book by Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is directed by Mark Brokaw. Josh Rhodes is choreographer. Music adaptation, supervision and arrangements are by David Chase. Andy Einhorn is music director and conductor.

Kevin Shinick, creator and main voice talent for MAD, the hit Warner Bros. comedy series airing on Cartoon Network, will be inducted into the legendary 501st Legion tonight, February 27, at Meltdown Comics at 7:00 PM.

Earlier today, Cinderella stars Ann Harada and Marla Mindelle unveiled the Cindrella Sundae at Serendipity3 (225 East 60th St). The treat is a life-sized 'glass slipper' made of glittering white chocolate filled with 3 wickedly big scoops of ice cream covered in chocolate and caramel sauce for dreamers and ice creamers of all ages. It's topped off with a delightfully romantic cloud of whipped cream and beautifully colored rock candy that is the finest in all of the kingdom, candy pearls and a life-sized tiara and a Cinderella Mirror Compact complete the royal treatment for the sundae based on the musical that's impossible to resist. Director/Playwright Jon Jory has neatly adapted Jane Austen's SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, maintaining the crux of the novel while streamlining it for the stage. It's a compelling and engaging presentation that utilizes a single set to tell its tale, and there are a number of noteworthy performers gracing the stage. All in all, this literary classic is well served by an excellent cast and sharp production.

Starting Monday, January 28, 2013, student rush tickets to RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will be available for performances Mondays through Thursdays, throughout the day of the show only at the Broadway Theatre Box Office (1681 Broadway at 53 St.). Students with a valid student ID may purchase one ticket for $32 (includes $2 facilities fee). Student rush tickets are subject to availability, with seating locations at the discretion of the box office.

Tickets to RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will go on sale Monday, December 17 at 10 a.m. at the Broadway Theatre box office (1681 Broadway at 53rd St.) Now in rehearsals, RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will begin preview performances on January 25 with an opening night scheduled for March 3. The production will celebrate the box office opening with a live, in-studio performance by the musical's stars Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana on 'Fox and Friends' on Monday, December 17.

Nominations for the 40th Annual Annie Awards have been announced. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony which will take place on February 2 at UCLA's Royce Hall.

Denver Comic Con has announced that Guest of Honor Stan Lee will also be joined by fan favorite Wil Wheaton and some of his fellow cast members, Robin Thorsen and Sandeep Parikh, from the highly successful internet sensation, The Guild. Also included in the preliminary guest announcements are voice and sci-fi actress, Kelly Hu known best for her work in X-Men X-2, and Peter Mayhew from the original Star Wars trilogy. The three-day event will feature a legion of celebrated comic book artists including Phil Jimenez, Paul Ryan, Herb Trimpe, Georges Jeanty, Rebekah Isaacs, Allen Bellman, Moritat, and Zombie King Arthur Suydam. It's all set to go down in Denver this summer.
