It was a big year for Broadway newbies! From young newcomers to seasoned Hollywood stars, Broadway welcomed many new faces to the family in 2014. New York City Ballet announced today that Andrew Litton has been named the Company's next Music Director. Litton, who currently serves as Music Director of both Norway's Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and Denver's Colorado Symphony Orchestra, will become NYCB's Music Director Designate, effective immediately, and will begin his first season as the Company's Music Director next September for the start of NYCB's 2015-16 season.

For the first time on Live From Lincoln Center, the curtain will be drawn back on one of the world's premier ballet academies - the School of American Ballet - with the presentation of the School's 50th Annual Workshop Performance.

On Tuesdays, today, December 2nd and 9th, Wednesday December 3rd @ 7pm, The Triad/Stage72, 158 West 72nd Street, hosts an encore performance of On Kentucky Avenue: The Atlantic City Club Harlem Revue - an homage to the now defunct historical 'Club Harlem.' Club Harlem was an Atlantic City venue, which hosted all 'the greats' such as Nancy Wilson, Sammy Davis, Jr., Ella Fitzgerald and many more.

'On Kentucky Avenue -- The Atlantic City Club Harlem Revue' has been presented three or four times a month periodically since February at Stage 72/The Triad, with Cheryl Freeman, Andricka Hall and Ty Stephens co-starring, Because Freeman and Hall both had previous commitments in December and were unable to perform when Stage 72 scheduled three additional performances of 'On Kentucky Avenue' on December 2, 3 and 9 at 7 PM, the producers feel fortunate that they have been able to replace them for these added performances with Tony nominee Brenda Braxton and recording artist Jenny Douglas.

What's more magical than Christmas in the City? Written by Diana Rissetto and directed by Annette Curran, Pigeons, Knishes and Rockettes, a charming holiday love story and a Valentine to the Big Apple, will play its first community production in December at the Grange Playhouse in Howell, NJ (4860 Route 9 South, Howell, NJ.)

New York's funniest show Celebrity Autobiography has added music icon Debbie Harry, four-time Oscar nominee Marsha Mason, and Ralph Macchio (My Cousin Vinny, The Karate Kid, Dancing with the Stars) to the cast of its November show on Monday, November 24 at 7pm at The Triad (Stage 72 -- 158 West 72nd Street). They will join previously announced stars of stage and screen Matthew Broderick (currently starring in It's Only A Play on Broadway), Janeane Garofalo (the upcoming Bravo series Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce), Michael Urie (Buyer & Cellar, Ugly Betty), Tate Donovan (24, Damages) & Drama Desk-winners Eugene Pack & Dayle Reyfel.

For DIRECTOR'S CHOICE, the second program of Pacific Northwest Ballet's 2014-2015season, Artistic Director Peter Boal selects two PNB premieres paired with stunning repertory works in this absorbing mixed-bill. Opening the program, David Dawson's breath-taking, hyper-extended A Million Kisses to my Skin references the intoxicating bliss dancers experience while performing. Rassemblement, Nacho Duato's poignant work set to slave songs by Haitian artist Toto Bissainthe, voices communal yearning and resistance in a climate of oppression. Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's (Cylindrical Shadows) critically-acclaimed signature piece, Before After, a PNB premiere, unmasks the turmoil just before a relationship ends. The performance closes with Debonair, a world premiere by New York City Ballet's rising star Justin Peck, praised for 'electrifying classical dance with [his] fresh vision' (Wall Street Journal). The program also includes a musical prelude to shine the spotlight on the nationally renowned PNB Orchestra, currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary season. New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Wendy Whelan will bid farewell to New York City Ballet with a special one-time-only performance tonight, October 18 at 8 p.m. For the occasion, two of the dance world's most acclaimed choreographers, Alexei Ratmansky and Christopher Wheeldon, will collaborate on a world premiere piece d'occasion for Whelan.

After a sold-out summer run this past August, 'HA!' The Musical, a hilarious behind the scenes look at the world of standup comedy, will return to STAGE 72 (158 West 72nd Street) as an official selection of the upcoming New York Comedy Festival in November.
