Two Broadway friends and co-stars share the stage for an evening of classic love songs and Broadway treasures at Hillwood Recital Hall.

Katie Thompson has joined the lineup of stars performing at The Other Side of Broadway on March 21st. Katie is known for her recording work and her presence in the theatre community. Her new album Private Page is now available on iTunes.

Yesterday, January 14, MEMPHIS celebrated its 100th performance on Broadway. In honor of the event, all involved with the production, along with BroadwayWorld, celebrated at Justin Timberlake's restaurant, ‘Southern Hospitality' following the curtain.

Disney Theatrical Productions welcomes Oscar, Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg (moderator of ABC's THE VIEW) to the cast of Broadway's landmark musical event, THE LION KING - for one night only - on Thursday, January 14 at the Minskoff Theatre (200 West 45th Street, NYC). Goldberg will appear in a series of surprise cameos throughout the 8pm performance. The announcement was made live this morning on 'The View.' The appearance marks a return for Goldberg to the legit stage and her Lion King roots, having originated the voice of Shenzi the Hyena more than 15 years ago in the 1994 Disney animated feature.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company continues Season 30, the 2009-10 Season, with a four-week run of The Last Cargo Cult, the newest monologue created and performed by acclaimed monologist Mike Daisey (If You See Something Say Something, How Theater Failed America), directed by Jean-Michele Gregory. (The Last Cargo Cult recently opened at The Public Theater in New York and plays there through December 13).

On Thursday, January 7 The Broadway League hosted Mark Aldrich of The Happy Hour Guys and members of the casts of RAGTIME and MEMPHIS on Broadway at Virgil's for warm post-show drinks to beat the cold at Virgils in Times Square.
