BWW Previews: NOW PLAYING THIRD BASE FOR THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS…BOND, JAMES BOND at Midnight Company At The Chapel

The Midnight Company will present the premiere of the full version of NOW PLAYING THIRD BASE FOR THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS…BOND, JAMES BOND, opening July 8, and running through July 25 at The Chapel, 6238 Alexander Drive, 63105. There will be performances Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm, with a matinee on Sunday, July 25, at 2pm. Tickets are $20, will be on sale at MetroTix.com.

The Show Must Go Online Announce MONTH OF MARLOWE

Drawing inspiration from classic surreal, expressionist films by Ingmar Bergman and Jean Cocteau, Edward II will be live on Wednesday 9 June at 7pm BST, and available on catch-up thereafter. The Show Must Go Online's Month of Marlowe comes after the collective performed the entirety of William Shakespeare's First Folio in weekly livestreamed readings over 36 consecutive weeks last year.

The Actors' Gang to Host Conversation with Peter Brook & Tim Robbins, March 25

The Actors' Gang Theater announces a new Axis Mundi evening as part of its digital season: Axis Mundi – In Conversation with Tim Robbins and theatrical legend and visionary director, Peter Brook. The free event, produced in partnership with Fundación Teatro a Mill, will be translated into French and Spanish and will be streamed Thursday, March 25th at 7 pm PST through Zoom and Facebook Live. The live translation is only available through Zoom.

Utah Opera Announces 2021-22 Season

Utah Opera Artistic Director Christopher McBeth today announced Utah Opera’s 2021-22 season, sponsored by the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation. Utah Opera to Present LA TRAGEDIE DE CARMEN This May

Peter Brook's 1981 “La tragédie de Carmen” (The Tragedy of Carmen) is more than a shorter, recut version of Bizet's “Carmen.” While it pares the cast down to four singers, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, and is filled with musical passages from Bizet's famous opera, La Tragédie is a nearly complete reworking of the story focused on the intense interactions and tragedy of the four central characters.

TFANA Presents Bill Camp In Samuel Beckett's FIRST LOVE

Theatre for a New Audience presents First Love, a theatricalization for Zoom of Samuel Beckett's short story of the same name, directed by six-time OBIE winner JoAnne Akalaitis and performed by Tony and Emmy Award nominee Bill Camp (Broadway: Death of a Salesman, The Crucible; TV: The Queen's Gambit, The Night Of). The creative team includes Eamonn Farrell (Video Design), Jennifer Tipton (Lighting Design) and Kaye Voyce (Scenic and Costume Design).

After first coming to local attention as part of the Pickle Family Circus, he went on to perform with Cirque du Soleil, create the role of Zazu in the original Broadway company of The Lion King, act in plays at virtually all the major Bay Area theater companies, and create numerous solo shows, many of them at The Marsh. BroadwayWorld recently caught up with Hoyle by phone from his home in Inverness, California.
