English Heritage and Giles Cooper Entertainment (GCE) have announced today the next concert to take place at the stunning grounds of Kenwood House in Hampstead in June 2018. One of the most loved and best-selling vocalists of a generation, Alfie Boe, has been announced for the series at Kenwood House, performing on Saturday 16th June.

On Monday, December 11 at 7:30PM, The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture presents two-time Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris (Fun Home, Assassins, The Who's Tommy) and Loose Cattle in 'Seasonal Affective Disorder,' a live concert celebrating the release of their holiday LP of the same name.

BWW has learned that on Friday, September 8th musical theater star Alfie Boe will perform with music legend Pete Townshend on NBC's TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON.

Alfie Boe is best known for his internationally critically acclaimed performances as Jean Valjean in the musical Les Miserables, playing the role in the Queen's Theatre in London, the Les Miserables: 25th Anniversary Concert in October 2010, and in the Broadway revival. He has been playing the lead role in Finding Neverland on Broadway beginning March 29, 2016. As well, Boe shared a Tony Award with the other members of the ensemble cast of Baz Luhrmann's 2002 revival of La boheme in 2003. He has sold over one million albums in the U.K.

On Saturday, August 26, at 8 p.m. soprano Kristine Opolais and bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel join BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus for an evening of opera and song,including Act II of Puccini's Tosca. In addition to Ms. Opolais in the title role and Sir Bryn as Scarpia, the Tanglewood Festival performance of Tosca will feature tenor Russell Thomas as Cavaradossi, bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel as Scarpia, tenor Matthew DiBattista as Spoletta, and baritone Douglas Williams as Sciarrone (in his BSO debut). Ms. Opolais and Sir Bryn recently performed Tosca in concert together at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod on July 4, 2017, under conductor Gareth Jones.

The rarely staged 1992 musical version based on the 1969 concept album and rock opera with its sung-through score, narrative told largely in dance, and its sometimes disturbing material poses significant challenges to any company, but MSMT once again proves its artistic mettle. Under the inspired direction of Curt Dale Clark, with the complex choreography of Raymond Marc Dumont and the rousing musical direction of Patrick Fanning, this company of young artists marshals its considerable talents to tackle the ambitious project with energy, passion, and complete professionalism.
